    Enjoy the lively nightlife

San Pedro Alcantara’s exciting promenade bars come alive as evening dawns. It’s a relaxed party crowd with just a few salsa clubs and the Bora Bora beach club to enjoy lively performances, cocktail in hand. The town has few such watering holes, mostly scattered along the beach or the town centre. Those hungry for more action, can take a 10-minute ride to the glamorous resort town of Puerto Banus, Marbella. Here the scene is a notch ahead—from tantalizing piano bars to high-octane clubs. If you’re lucky, you might do some celeb-spotting as well...

    Explore local markets

    Explore local markets

San Pedro de Alcantara’s has a street market on Thursdays, and everything from fresh fruits, vegetables to groceries and souvenir items are traded here. Held in the fairground in the centre of town, this market is held from 10am until around 2pm. Handmade items and pottery such as ceramic plates, olive oil bottles, flamenco fans and embroidered scarves are easy to pick up here and can make for great gifts to take home. If you’re seeking designer and boutique stores, head into the Puerto Banus harbour where the yacht-bobbing waterfront is lined by high-end shops.

    Visit the San Pedro Boulevard

San Pedro Boulevard is a popular park built over the main coastal highway to San Pedro Alcantara. Spanning the boulevard is its eye-catching 300m long footbridge that reflects the sea and is fondly called 'Un Mar de Sensaciones' (A sea of sensations). The boulevard has several play areas and places to explore for the kids. Spread over 55,000 s.m, the boulevard has as many as six playgrounds, the largest being 650 s.m. The boulevard also has an outdoor amphitheater, a cycle lane and skates and segways are available for hire, too. This is an oasis of leisure for families with young kids.

    Family Fun at Happy Days

Located at the Marbella end of the Boulevard in San Pedro Alcantara, there is a Fun & Entertainment centre, Happy Days. Providing fun for the entire family, it has several attractions like Bouncy castle, 9-hole Pirate-themed mini golf course, ice-skating rink and game of foot-pool. This is a clean, disabled-friendly place with helpful staff and open every afternoon except Monday and Tuesdays. When the kids feel hungry, there is an Airstream trailer diner serving up US style pizzas, burgers, salads and hot dogs with soft drinks. This place also hosts Birthday parties.
