While you can get ready to fall in love with picturesque sea views, long coastal promenades, restaurants and cool cocktail bars in relaxing resorts Rawai and Kamala.
Essential Information: When you go and what you'll need
(Avg. monthly °C)
Most of Phuket’s beach resorts are compact and easily explored on foot, but if you would like to get someplace a little bit quicker, taxis, TukTuks and buses are also available. Car hire provides you with the flexibility to explore the island but most travellers opt for taxis or use their hotel shuttles.
The bus service in Phuket is cheap but as taxis are very reasonable most tourists opt for taxis. The songthaews (open-air vehicles) don’t have specific stops, so you can jump on and off whenever you like.
Car hire is reasonably priced but roads can be tricky and driving can be erratic.
