Also, the Ras Mohammed National Park, Ras Um Sid and Tiran Island diving sites have fewer crowds during these months.

Getting Around Sharm El Sheikh

🚌 Transport in the Sharm El Sheikh Region

Taxis are readily available in Sharm el Sheikh. They should have a meter, but it’s recommended to agree on a fare before you get in. There is also a fleet of reliable microbuses that run locals and tourists around the region, while other buses go further afield. If you’re staying in Na’ama Bay, everything should be walkable. It’s recommended that you leave your driving licence at home and trust those who are experienced on Egypt’s roads. Stick to taxis and buses to get you from A to B.

Passports and Visas

You don’t need a visa for a holiday in Sharm lasting up to 15 days (but do need one for other areas of Egypt – so take note if you’re planning a trip to Cairo or Luxor). You will also need a valid passport with at least 6 months left on it.
