About this hotel

Finding a 5-star resort in Sharm El Sheikh that genuinely gets the balance right can feel like a bit of a gamble. One place nails the beach but lets itself down with the food. Another looks stunning online, then the service falls flat the minute you arrive. SUNRISE Arabian Beach Resort- Grand Select manages to bring everything together quite smoothly.

It sits directly on the cliffside coast of Sharks Bay, facing Tiran Island. Built across six terraced levels, most of its 421 rooms have open sea views. It runs on an all-inclusive Sharm El Sheikh basis, with an ultra-all-inclusive upgrade available too. This is one of the best hotels in Sharm El Sheikh for a reason. Whether you're planning couples' holidays in Egypt, family holidays in Sharm El Sheikh, or a diving trip, this resort covers it all. 🐠

Kids club & family facilities

Kids Planet is the resort's supervised children's club, open to ages 4 to 12. It's run by international animation staff and keeps children busy from morning through to the evening. Activities include arts and crafts, face painting, mini-cooking classes, themed sessions, and a mini-disco every night. There's both an indoor activity room and an outdoor playground, so the programme runs regardless of the time of day. It's the kind of club that actually gives parents a proper break. ☀️

For water fun, the resort has a dedicated shallow kids' pool and a separate area with multi-lane water slides for children and young teens. These are kept separate from the adult swim-up zone, so that both sides of the pool deck can relax in peace.

The main buffet has a dedicated kids' corner with lowered tables, child-height seating, and a rotating children's menu. High chairs are available in every restaurant. Baby cots are free on request. Stroller rentals and babysitting can be arranged through guest relations for an hourly fee. All in all, SUNRISE Arabian Beach Resort for families works well across a wide age range. 🎡

Spa, wellness & fitness

Sabai Spa is a proper, full-scale wellness facility. Basic locker and changing room access is free, but the key treatments and thermal areas all carry an extra booking fee. That includes a Turkish hammam, Finnish saunas, steam rooms, indoor hydrotherapy hot tubs, and private massage and treatment rooms. It's not a token spa tucked away in a corner. If some rejuvinating treatments are a part of your ideal holiday, it’s worth assigning a part of your budget. SUNRISE Arabian Beach Resort spa suits guests who want genuine rest and recovery, not just a quick sauna.

The SUNRISE Arabian Beach Resort gym is air-conditioned and open daily from 07:00 to 21:00. Equipments include Technogym cardio machines, free weights, and resistance stations. Guests under 16 are not allowed in the gym. The animation team also runs free daily outdoor sessions on the resort terraces. With yoga, water aerobics, stretching, and Zumba, it makes a good option if you prefer working out with a view and a bit of company. 🏋️

Sports & activities

There’s a plethora of exciting and engaging SUNRISE Arabian Beach Resort activities. Some are covered by the booking packages, while some come for an extra cost. Free activities include snorkelling directly from the resort pier with lifeguards on duty, beach volleyball, darts, daytime pool games and dance sessions, evening amphitheatre shows with professional dance acts and fire performances, live music nightly at the Sun Ray terrace or Horizon lounge, and daytime tennis court use.

Paid activities include night-time floodlit tennis, the on-site PADI dive centre offering scuba courses, equipment hire and guided boat dives, and the water sports centre with parasailing, banana boats, and windsurfing. Some SUNRISE Arabian Beach Resort water sports options are seasonal. Book dive courses in advance – they fill up quickly, especially during peak summer weeks.
