Cheap Holidays to Kemer

Situated on the southern coast of Turkey, near Antalya, is the picturesque seaside resort of Kemer. Much of its natural beauty comes from the lush pine forests of Beydaglari National Park, the majestic Tahtali mountains and the extensive Greco-Roman ruins of Phaselis, Olympos and Idyros.

This cosmopolitan coastal town effortlessly blends beaches, culture and entertainment, making it an all-round holiday destination for families, friends and couples alike. Divide your time on Kemer holidays between the resort's Blue Flag and shingle stretches of sand, which sit either side of a modern marina offering classy waterfront restaurants and boutiques. If you like to bag a bargain, head to the resort's market stalls open on Mondays and Tuesdays where you can pick up traditional textiles, silverware and handmade souvenirs. If you like nature, the national park is the perfect place to go hiking, camping or trekking and a great way to explore this part of Turkey. Or give your legs a rest and climb to the top of Tahtali mountains via a cable car instead, while enjoying panoramic views of the surroundings below.

Less than an hour away is Antalya City, hiding quaint cobbled alleyways lined traditional Turkish stalls and the gorgeous cascading Duden Waterfall within its enchanting Roman walls. The cuisine in Turkey is like no other, with spices, flavours and colours combining to make some of the most mouthwatering dishes – whether you eat on the main street, in the upscale marina or in a traditional tent, the marinated fish, soulful flatbreads and freshly baked baklava is not to be missed.
