I stayed at Hotel Sunbel and would rate it around 3 stars. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly, but there were a few things that could be improved. The bar didn’t have a menu for alcoholic drinks, which made it difficult to know what was available. The food was quite limited, and unfortunately the dishes were not labeled, so we often didn’t know what we were eating.

The location and pool area were nice, but overall the dining experience brought the rating down. With some improvements, this hotel could easily offer a much better stay.

While the service at this hotel was a plus, with staff who were consistently smiling and helpful, the property itself doesn't live up to its 4-star rating.
The main drawback was the hotel's overwhelming focus on Russian tourists; the music and staff communication were predominantly Russian, which made us feel a bit out of place. The room was dated and showed signs of wear, including what looked like cleaned-up mold by the door. The dining experience was also frustrating. While the food was fine, you had to arrive at the beginning of service to get a main dish, as some guests would hoard food, much of which went to waste. Similarly, getting a sunbed on the private beach was a daily struggle due to towels being left out from the early hours.
On the positive side, the animation team was very talented, and the nightly shows were enjoyable, though they did repeat during our second week. The direct access to the beach was also very convenient.
In conclusion, while the exceptional staff are this hotel's greatest asset, I feel it's worth paying more for a better overall experience elsewhere.

Okay hotel, more like 3 stars. The room was a bit dated, the drains were inadequate, and the restrooms smelled like sewage until we brought this up at the reception. The staff is trying to be helpful, but some requests were repeatedly ignored.

The hotel operates at overcapacity and is frequently out of basic items like forks and cups. Long lines for food are common, partly because guests tend to hoard it.

The food is basic but acceptable. I enjoyed the Mediterranean-style buffet.

The Wi-Fi is free but of poor quality, likely due to oversubscription.

Guest demographics: Approximately 60% from Russia/Ukraine, 20% from Poland, and the rest a mix of other countries.

This hotel is the worst in my life.
We had a holiday in November and it was about to close the season.
Room: noisy - you can hear every move in the hotel. They had all-night music nearby. The room was stinky, with stains on bedding and towels. This was the worst bedding I've ever had. My hairdryer was not working, the curtains were not blackout and partially torn down.
Food: all our family got food poisoning, we had a fever and were very unwell. A couple of other families said that they had the same issue after having the hotel meals. When we came to the reception, the receptionist said that she didn't have any complaints from other people and was very unhelpful with our case. I sent them an email with a request to refund my money as I consider this place unsafe, but my email was ignored.
Service: everything in this hotel is for russians, the staff speak russian even if we ask them to speak English.  Russian music, all guests are russians...feels like I had a holiday somewhere in russia.
The last days were literally awful as we were shown that the season is over and we are not welcomed anymore. The last supper wasn't a buffet, we were given limited food on personal plates. We couldn't choose, only take it or go to bed hungry. Next morning our breakfast was made literally from leftovers - we were given a plate with a couple of olives, a couple of slices of horrible sausage, a few pieces of cheese. Anything I eat. No milk, cereals, fruit, eggs, nothing!
The price for the holiday is relatively cheap but I would suggest to think twice before choosing this place and this dull destination.

My experience with the hotel probably won’t surprise anyone too much. First of all, yes, it is definitely a budget hotel. But on the other hand, when we arrived at 1 a.m., we were unpleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room. The toilet was very dirty, the shower was moldy as a bonus, and there were hairs and body hair from previous guests on the tiles. The bed linen was stained, and in the morning, when I was chasing the cleaning lady to clean it and showed her the toilet, she didn’t understand what I wanted—so I took the toilet cleaner from her and cleaned it myself. The shower, of course, she just left as it was. I also asked for a room change, but was told that there were no other rooms available. I think it wouldn’t have helped anyway, since our friends’ room was the same, with the same hygiene issues.

The food was generally okay, although they use quite a lot of semi-prepared products. The dining area wasn’t particularly clean either. The staff, with the exception of one man at the reception who clearly couldn’t care less about us, were good. Special thanks to the guys at the bar, who did what they could with the ingredients they had.

The beach was nice, and sunbeds were always available. The snack bar wasn’t great—it was always the same food, and it wasn’t open every day as you’d expect from an all-inclusive hotel. Naturally, the food in the main dining room also became repetitive, so after three days, nothing surprises you anymore.

Overall impression wasn’t very good—everything was generally dirty or sticky, with handprints and stains from unknown fluids (and I don’t want to know what kind). The hotel management should seriously reconsider their 4-star rating. In Slovakia, this hotel would be shut down or rated no more than 2 stars.

Small hotel with wonderful view. Very friendly staff, special thanks to the best receptionist Ahmet. Food is very tasty and I enjoyed trying all Turkish specialties. I recommend the hotel and his attractive location.
