Tenerife is easy to get around and well set up for tourists. Most holidaymakers tend to use taxis and hire cars. There are cycling and hiking trails for the more adventurous and boat trips running around the island and further afield.

Travelling by bus or carThere are local buses and tour buses operating to most of the island's key resorts and sights. Taxis are a more convenient mode of transport for exploring the island. There are lots of hire companies operating on the island. The island’s main roads are easy to navigate and well looked after; the smaller roads can be somewhat of a challenge.
