Canary Islands Holidays

Canary Islands
Overview

Canary Island holidays are a real gem, boasting endless year-round sunshine, idyllic beaches and a fascinating natural landscape to explore. Holidays to Canary Islands give limitless opportunities for fun in the sun. Sun seeker’s, nature lovers, couples and families all flock to this popular destination every year and it’s no surprise. Located in the middle of Atlantic Ocean on the southwest of Spain and northwest of Africa, popular Canary Island holidays include Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, each boasting a variety of all-round resorts.

This archipelago of 7 large islands, and several smaller ones too, enjoys a mild climate with an average temperature of 22°C throughout the year – better still, the charming weather makes the islands perfect to visit for a winter sun getaway too. Summers (June to August) and winters (December to February) are the high seasons, meaning depending on your budget; it’s more cost effective to visit these balmy destinations outside of peak season, when you can bag cheap holidays to Canary Islands without scrimping on the sunshine! With each of the 7 major Canary Island holidays featuring airports, the rolling sands are just a 4-5-hour flight-time away from London.

From stunning volcanic landscapes to sweeping golden sandy beaches, Canary Island holidays allure sun-worshippers with a variety of must-see and must-do. Hike through Tenerife’s moon-like lava fields, jeep safari through Fuerteventura’s mountains or unwind on the golden beaches of Gran Canaria. If you’re looking for beach fun, bask in the sunshine on the pristine sands of Lanzarote. A paradise for watersports, try kitesurfing, windsurfing or scuba diving in azure waters among 350 species of fish (and the odd shipwreck). With a blend of volcanic beauty, lush forests and activities, Canary Island holidays are a great value choice with heaps of fun-factor.
