Cheap Holidays to Lara

Lara Beach is like one big movie set. Known as Turkey Las Vegas, this lively and safe resort town is brimming with hotels modelled on famous landmarks, golden sand beaches, pubs, clubs and bars and even the odd celebrity. Lara beach holidays are about spending time on the sand, taking to the waters and exploring the nearby town. With a gorgeous Turkish climate, this sun-drenched resort offers fantastic sunny holidays almost all year round - perfect for a last minute stint in the sun.

Kick off your sandals and wander down one of the longest beaches in Turkey, backed by a gorgeous line-up of hotels boasting first-class sea views, restaurants and bars serving snacks and cocktails. Better still, you can dine with a view in one of the beachfront hotels such as the Titanic and Barut Lara. If you ever tire of the beach (it's unlikely), catch a shuttle bus to Sultan Bazaar for traditional souvenir stalls, big-name brands, restaurants and even a Turkish bath. In the evenings, you can hit any of the hotels for quality food, drink and entertainment or head into Antalya for a mix of clubs and cocktail hangouts.

Holidays to Lara Beach are usually best visited during the months of June to September, when the weather is dry and hot. Antalya Airport, at a distance of 11.4km from Lara Beach, is the nearest airport to this resort town - so you can stop and admire the city before heading to the beach!

Getting Around Lara

🚌 Transport in the Lara Region

The public transport network and taxi service in the Antalya region means that hiring a car isn’t necessary to explore the area. If you would prefer to have the independence to get around on your own, car hire is easy to arrange. Dolmus buses are convenient and cheap and there is also a local bus service and a tramway that connects the city centre with Konyaalti Beach.

Travelling by bus or carBuses run regularly within the city of Antalya. The dolmus service also connects the city with the rest of the region and is an authentic – albeit cramped – way of getting from A to B. Travel is cheap. If you’re a confident driver and you’re happy to take on the often hectic roads in Turkey, car hire is a great way of getting out and exploring the sights. Drive on the right-hand side of the road.
