⭐ Very Disappointing & Unacceptable Behavior from Hotel Staff

I had a very unpleasant experience at this hotel due to the behavior of the reception staff.

We had an early morning tour booked and I politely requested some fruits that were already displayed at the breakfast counter. It was only about half an hour before the official breakfast time. Instead of handling this calmly or professionally, the reception staff member Ismail became extremely rude, aggressive, and started yelling at us.

He went to the extent of threatening to call the local police over a simple request for fruits. When I asked him to calm down and speak politely, he continued to behave abusively and involved security staff in an intimidating manner. When I took out my phone to record the situation for my safety, he again threatened me.

He then deliberately ensured that we were not allowed to consume breakfast at all, despite the food already being available. His behavior towards my wife was also rude and completely unacceptable. When I questioned if this is how guests are treated, his response was simply: “Do whatever you want to do.”

This kind of behavior is unprofessional, disrespectful, and shocking for a hotel that claims to offer hospitality. Guests should never be threatened or treated with hostility for a simple and reasonable request.

I strongly urge hotel management to take this matter seriously and train their staff in basic customer service and respectful communication.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Amazing Stay!

I travel frequently between Antalya and Istanbul and often stay at higher-end hotels, so I’ve experienced many different levels of hospitality. This hotel truly exceeded my expectations — even luxury properties could take notes from the outstanding service here
From the moment I arrived, everyone has been incredibly kind and attentive. Housekeeping is fantastic — I stepped out of my room for just 20 minutes and came back to find it spotless and sparkling. Even if you don’t request daily cleaning, they thoughtfully leave two bottles of water outside your door every day.
The amenities are excellent too — the sauna and Turkish bath are included at no extra cost, which is such a wonderful touch. To top it off, they even surprised me with a Starbucks gift card as a complimentary gesture — small details like this make such a big difference and really show how much they care about their guests.
It’s also very peaceful and quiet, which made my stay even more relaxing. Honestly, I was a little nervous at first because of the price point, but my expectations were exceeded in every way.
💯 Thank you to the entire team for making this such a memorable and comfortable stay. Truly one of the best experiences I’ve had in Turkey.

Absolutely unacceptable. The towels in our room were dirty, which already shows how poorly this hotel is maintained.

What made things far worse was the staff’s behavior. Days before my checkout date, I was wrongly accused of stealing items from the room. The accusation was made with zero proof and in an extremely rude and aggressive manner. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful.

Instead of taking responsibility, the staff doubled down on their attitude and treated me like a criminal. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Avoid this place.

I stayed at Holiday Inn Lara for 6 days, and it was truly my favorite hotel experience in Antalya. The hotel is exceptionally clean, and the atmosphere feels both welcoming and relaxing.

The staff are incredibly hospitable, polite, and always responsive. They treat guests with great respect, and I really appreciated how attentive they were throughout my stay. I would especially like to mention Yeliz, who stood out with her friendliness, kindness, and constant willingness to help — she really made my stay extra special.

The food was another highlight. There’s a wide variety of options to choose from, and everything I tried was fresh and flavorful. A special thanks goes to Chef Haleel, whose dishes were consistently delicious and memorable.

Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I would highly recommend Holiday Inn Lara to anyone visiting Antalya and I will definitely return in the future.
