Blue Flag Beaches
The beach at Puerto de Santiago may be on the small side but boasts beautiful views of the hills and striking black volcanic sand. The mighty Atlantic Ocean is a sight to behold but must be respected as the waves and currents can get strong! A flag system is in place so it’s important to get familiar with it to enjoy the water safely. The highly popular Playa la Arena is a short walk away, so if you fancy a change of pace take your towel and enjoy the atmosphere on the neighbouring beach there. You’ll be surrounded by hills during your stay in Puerto Santiago, which is located close to two other resorts: Los Gigantes and Playa de la Arena - often considered a tri-city of sorts.
