A Costa del Sol classic, Benalmadena holidays combine fantastic beaches with Spanish charm and great nightlife. A magnet for fun-loving holidaymakers, the resort's golden beaches, whacky water sports and abundance of attractions and nearby theme parks offer lots to see and do in the sun - especially if you're visiting with the family.

Just down the road from buzzing Torremolinos, action-packed Benalmadena is a great choice for those who want little more Spanish sophistication and the chance to let their hair down. The beach is bustling yet picturesque, the old town has cobbled streets and whitewashed houses, but party lovers will also find a good list of lively pubs, clubs and bars to enjoy. Theme parks and water parks are a stone's throw away and the town even has its own cable car, taking visitors to the summit of Calamorro Mountain where they can enjoy beautiful coastal views – the choices are endless on holidays to Benalmadena.

The best time to visit Benalmadena is usually between the months of June and September. The weather during this period is wonderfully warm and your days will be filled with bright sunshine, perfect for relaxing on the beach and exploring the towns. The resort is easily accessible from all parts of Spain with the nearest airport being Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport, located at just 14km from the beach town.

The cobbled streets and pretty squares of the old town, Benalmadena Pueblo, are bursting with historic charm. In the Arroyo de la Miel area tourists and locals enjoy the fantastic tapas restaurants. Parque de la Paloma is a gorgeous green space with lots of small animals like hare, deer and peacock roaming freely. A great place for kids to play and adults to relax in the shade.
