Playa de Palma Beach

Playa de Palma Beach

Playa de Palma beach is paradise. Enjoy topping up that tan under the Majorcan sun with a cocktail in hand. Watersports are available here so whether you're a keen wind-surfer or prefer to stick to snorkelling, you'll find plenty to keep you occupied. If you want to explore the surrounding area, the mini-train is great fun and a convenient way for families to travel from A to B. When the sun goes down head to one of the nearby restaurants for fresh seafood and live music.

Party At Puro Beach Club

Party At Puro Beach Club

Playa de Palma's nightlife has a family friendly ambience, with spirited restaurants and bars that are great for enjoying dinner and drinks. If you're looking for somewhere a little more lively, Puro Beach Club is a popular choice for those who like to party by the coast or why not head to neighbouring resorts El Arenal and Portixol for great party bars and clubs?

El Arenal & C'an Pastilla

El Arenal & C'an Pastilla

One of the huge advantages to Playa de Palma is its proximity to El Arenal and C'an Pastilla. These three resorts are connected by a beautiful walkway. If the watersports have worn you out, hop on the mini train that runs all day long to get around the resort. The young, and young at heart, can make a splash at Aqualand El Arenal, the biggest waterpark on the island or check out Palma's aquarium.

Top Shops in Palma

Top Shops in Palma

If you're hoping to hit the shops on your holidays, the capital city of Palma is the place to do so. Avinguda Jaume III and the Passeig des Born are where you can browse the upmarket boutiques while you'll find specialist shops at Placa Major and fashion finds at Port d'Andratx and Cala d'Or. Explore the stores in the old town and you'll catch a glimpse of the stunning Medieval architecture along the way.

Getting Around Playa de Palma

🚌 Transport in the Playa de Palma Region

The best way to explore Playa de Palma's resort is to walk. Or for nearby attractions simply hop on the sightseeing mini tour bus that runs (on average) every 20 minutes or grab a taxi, which you can call from your hotel or hail. Alternatively you can rent a car and drive around the island, enjoying the breath-taking coastal views as you go. There is a mini train that runs through the resort, so if you need to get from A to B this is a quick and easy way to do so - it's also fun for the kids!

Travelling by bus or carTourist areas generally have good bus services going around and between them, but longer routes can be much less frequent. Some routes don’t operate on Sundays, during low season or late at night. Cars can be hired from most resorts or the airport, and the main roads are good. Signage is easy to follow. Book in advance during the peak season to guarantee a car and to also keep the price you pay as low as possible. Driving is on the right-hand side here.
