Getting Around Riviera Maya

🚌 Transport in the Riviera Maya Region

There are fleets of colectivo minibuses that travel up and down the coast between Tulum, Playa del Carmen, and Cancun. Taxis and car hire is available everywhere. Most holidaymakers tend to stick to taxis. If you want to travel in style, there are also ferries and boat trips to Cozumel, or you could hire a Harley!

Travelling by bus or car Buses in the area are fairly reliable and offer good value for money. You can get around the resort and into neighbouring resorts easily. Please check with your hotel for updated timetables. If you do wish to explore the Mexican coast at your own pace, hire cars are available, although most holidaymakers do tend to stick with organised tours and day trips. Driving is on the right-hand side.
Passports and Visas
