Getting Around Mexico

🚌 Transport in the Mexico Region

Mexico is huge, and the distance between A and B can be vast, so if you’re exploring more than one base, domestic flights could be an option. Buses and minibuses (known as combis or colectivos) are plentiful within Mexican resorts, and very cheap to use. The bus service is regular, but can get very crowded during peak times. Car hire is available and offers a convenient way of seeing somewhere at your own pace. However, the roads can be challenging, and may be in poor condition. Driving is on the right hand side.

Passports and Visas

As a British holidaymaker, you don’t need a visa, but you will need a tourist card that can be attained upon arrival. Don’t lose it! Your passport should be valid for the duration of your stay. Vaccinations

There are currently no jabs required for a holiday to Mexico, but double check the latest advice with your GP before you travel. Routine boosters should be up to date.
