Getting Around Aghios Nikolaos

🚌 Transport in the Aghios Nikolaos Region

Aghios Nikolaos is about an hour away from Heraklion Airport and it’s easy to arrange a private transfer get a bus to the resort. Car hire is available but if you don’t want to venture far from the resort you can easily get by using taxis or buses. Boat trips and the Little Train Tour are both good options for exploring.

Travelling by bus or car Aghios Nikolaos has a bus station with good connections to the rest of this large island. Lots of hotels run private shuttle services to the nearby beaches. Car hire is a good option if you want to explore at your own pace. Remember to drive on the right-hand side and consider hiring a 4 x4 if you’re planning to tackle some of the more off the beaten track places.
