Protaras holidays offer a wonderful opportunity to experience the very best of Cyprus' beautiful beaches and diving opportunities. Situated on the southwestern coast of Cyprus, this historic resort town is not only recognised for its golden sandy beaches and azure blue waters, but also its world-class diving spots.

The island boasts a six-pack of gorgeous beaches, the most famous of the bunch being Fig Tree Bay complete with impressive watersports and a picturesque island you can swim out to. The coastline also serves up Blue Flag stretches including Green Bay, Sirena Bay and the captivating rocky cliffs of Cape Greco. The wonderfully warm weather adds to the beauty of this purpose-built resort, remaining mild and sunny from early spring until winter – perfect for late escapes.

The compact streets of this resort town are easy to explore by foot, and you'll find a string of lively bars and restaurants situated on the main street, which are great for families and friends. In the daytime, you can hike from the pretty hilltop chapel Profitis Elias to the nearest beach, hop on a boat trip and visit neighbouring islets and resorts, or choose a balmy beach to lounge on and soak up the Mediterranean sun. When evening arrives head into Protaras Avenue for an excellent line-up of restaurants and bars, or if you want to go one step further than the pubs, party-central Ayia Napa is just a 10-minute drive away. Whatever you decide to do during your holidays to Protaras, you'll never be short of fun in the sun.

Parasail through the Skies

One of the best ways of seeing the area is from the sky, and what better way to do so than being strapped to a parasail? It’s not for the faint-hearted, but being towed along behind a speedboat is an experience to try at least once. Besides the thrill, the views of Protaras are second to none – when you’re not being dunked in the sea, anyway!
