  • Explore the Tomb of the Kings. One of the most popular attractions in Paphos, here you can explore several graves and underground chambers. Useful hint: use a tour guide to get an understanding of what you are exploring.
  • Visit the Lara Bay Turtle Conservation Station. Embark on a jeep safari tour and you’ll also be able to take in sights such as the Akamas Peninsula, Avakas Gorge and the Baths of Aphrodite. On the tour, you’ll be able to look for hatchlings throughout the station.
  • Splash around at Paphos Aphrodite Waterpark. This waterpark is a favourite with people of all ages, but especially families looking for a day out away from the beaches. There’s much more here than water slides, you can also find a spot to chill out and relax.

Getting Around Cyprus

Cyprus is compact and so getting around the island is relatively easy. Hiring a car offers the freedom to explore, especially if you want to discover areas of Cyprus that are a little out of the way, where public transport is more limited. Bus services in the south of the island are frequent, clean and comfortable, and provide a cheap way of exploring the island. Rural buses may be more unreliable. There are often no services on Sundays. Roads are good, and well signposted, but they’re slightly better in the south. Driving is on the left hand side of the road.
