Cheap Holidays to Meloneras

Situated on the southern coast of Gran Canaria is the sun-kissed resort of Meloneras. Blessed with golden beaches, stunning views of the Atlantic and a plethora of stylish restaurants and bars, holidays to Meloneras are all about embracing the warmth of year-round sunshine and the all-natural beauty of the Canaries. Quieter than its boisterous cousin, Las Palmas, there are plenty of things to do in Meloneras - from relaxing on unspoilt beaches, to exploring historical buildings, wandering the bustling capital and indulging in lively nightclubs.

Meloneras has a 500-metre coastline that's flanked by inviting blue waters and an expansive promenade, which you can wander as the sun sets and indulge in a variety of fresh seafood restaurants, cocktail bars and seafront shops. Blending into Meloneras' golden sands is Maspalomas beach, which boasts spectacular dunes you can explore by camel back, or for a change of pace the lively beach resort of Playa del Ingles is just 10-minutes to reach by car.

Swap coastline for culture in the capital of Las Palmas. Steeped in rich Catalan history, Las Palmas is just an hour from the bustling beach resort and worth a visit if ancient buildings and alluring sites are your bag. The grand Gothic cathedral of Santa Ana and the quaint building of Casa de Colon (where Christopher Columbus is supposed to have lived), are two iconic must-see sites during your Meloneras holidays. If you're visiting with the family, keep the kids entertained at the nearby Taurito waterpark, step back in time on a pirate boat trip, or explore the island on a 4x4 safari and camel tour – better still, this Canary Island can be visited all-year round so grab a last minute holidays today!
