Getting Around El Arenal

The best way of getting around Alcudia, especially the old town, is by foot. If you want to venture a little further from the resort, hiring a car provides you with the most flexibility, while bicycles are also available. Bus routes are good and there are frequent services, but they can get very full on market days. There is also a ferry available, which can take you to Ciutadella on the nearby island of Menorca.

Travelling by bus or car

During the peak summer months, there are eleven bus routes that travel through the main resort of Alcudia. They run frequently and are inexpensive, making them a great way of exploring the surrounding area.

There are plenty of car rental places in Alcudia should you wish to explore the island further. Book in advance for the best price and to ensure a car is waiting for you. Driving is on the right-hand side of the road.
