WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER MEXICO FOR A HEN DO

With miles of candy-white beaches, gorgeous all inclusive resorts and ancient Mayan ruins dotting the Caribbean Coast, it stands to reason that Gwyneth Paltrow chose Mexico as the location of her glamorous "bachelorette party" and supposed secret wedding venue - which wasted no time in giving us ultimate holiday goals over on her Instagram feed, of course. Fantastic weather, bustling cities reverberating with fun and glamour, plus opulent adult only beachfront resorts rank Mexico right at the top of hedonistic hen party destinations. The bold and the beautiful brides-to-be can relax at the country's stunning lagoons and beaches including Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta, plan photoshoots around the historic pyramids of Chichen Itza and Tulum, and discover an eclectic underwater world with snorkeling and scuba diving activities.

If you want to celebrate your last days as a single lady in true Paltrow style (perhaps without the hefty price tag, though), we've rounded-up of hottest spots in Mexico to host the ultimate fling before the ring.

If you want to cure your hangover, the best way to do so is by spending the day at one of the gorgeous beaches, or get active with watersports activities such as windsurfing, parasailing or scuba diving - or better still, soak up the sights in style on a boat trip around the resort.
