Cheap Holidays to Florida

Disney characters, rocking rollercoasters, and magical moments – Florida is one of the best-loved family holiday destinations in the world, and for very good reason. Florida holidays are full of sunshine, spectacular beaches, scintillating nightlife, and round-the-clock entertainment. It also holds the crown as the theme park capital of the world, with must-visit attractions Disney, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, and Busch Gardens bursting with adventure!

Kids will also love letting off some steam at Sun Splash Waterpark in Fort Myers, Legoland Florida, and Gatorland. There's plenty more to do on holidays to Florida besides the parks, stroll around city-sized malls, wade through the warm waters of the Gulf Coast or go dolphin spotting around the Keys. Florida holidays are also famous for sun-kissed beaches, and just over an hour’s drive from Orlando you'll find the beautiful sandy stretches of Cocoa, Daytona, New Smyrna, Canaveral National Seashore, and Flagler. Don't miss surfing at the Canaveral Pier or snorkeling at the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, too.

Getting Around Florida

🚌 Transport in the Florida Region

Make use of the shuttle services that operate via the airport and your hotel. Taxis are ideal for short journeys but can be pricey. Buses are cheaper and easily found, and there are some train routes if needed. Car hire is available and recommended if you’re hoping to explore more than one city or resort. There are also ferries and water taxis in some areas, such as Fort Myers and Key West.

Travelling by bus or carThere are local buses, shuttles and trolleys operating in resorts. Buses are cheap and usually reliable but ensure you know your route and travel during the day. Hiring a car is a great and safe way to get around the sunshine state and provides the most freedom and convenience. You can hire cars from airports or resorts, but most will likely be automatic. Driving is on the right-hand side.
