Situated in the up-and-coming Izmir area on Turkey’s sun-drenched west coast, Kusadasi is a busy resort with a great climate for sun lovers. Holidays to Kusadasi are popular with families thanks to its brilliant beaches and great choice of activities, watersports, parks and rides. Strolling on the beautiful promenade, people watching and witnessing the boats depart from its pretty harbour are a great way to spend time at leisure. While the beaches are sure to occupy you by day, by night there are plenty of places to eat, drink and dance the night away.

Day trips abound in this resort, from traditional gulet cruises where you can snorkel the day away and exciting dolphin spotting tours to market tours and visits to nearby towns. You could also take a boat trip to the island of Ephesus (or Efes) which has a host of historical ruins. Just off the coast, connected to Kusadasi by a causeway, is a Byzantine Castle on the Pigeon Island that once guarded the harbour - which is also now a favourite tourist hangout.

The relaxed resort suits families well and there is a waterpark for more high-octane fun nearby. If you're looking for authenticity though, the quaint cobbled streets, old-school tavernas that serve amazing kebab platters and mezes as well as bustling bazaars offer a taste of traditional Turkey. Kusadasi holidays offer the perfect blend of old and new and whether you're visiting its coastal resorts and beaches or colourful cities and towns, you'll be blown away by its variety.
