🚌 Transport in the Praia da Rocha Region

Praia da Rocha is easily explored on foot and there are water taxis to other beaches nearby. Hiring a car is a popular way of getting around The Algarve, giving holidaymakers the chance to explore the coast at their own pace. There is also a good bus service connecting the various coastal resorts and a large fleet of taxis in operation too. The Algarve is a perfect region for walking and cycling, with many trails to explore for those who like to soak up the scenery.

Travelling by bus or carThe public transport from the nearest airport Faro to Praia da Rocha can be time-consuming as it requires two buses and a train. It may be better to book a cab or shuttle transfer instead. For sightseeing, it’s best to hire a local taxi or book a hire car. Taxis are good for shorter trips but if you plan to head to lots of towns and explore the western cape, then it is much more economical to hire a car. A taxi to the resort from Faro airport is around £35. A small tourist train chugs around the town and is a good way to get around the resort with the kids.

British Citizens don’t need a visa to enjoy a holiday in the Algarve, as long as they’re staying for less than 3 months. Passports should be valid for the duration of your visit.
