Cheap Why go to Stalis?

Stalis is a laidback Cretan resort whose relaxing vibe is a welcome relief from the lively atmosphere at neighbouring Malia and Hersonissos.

Stalis holidays invite you to slow down. Breathe in the fresh sea air, marvel at the sparkling Aegean Sea and bask in the warm glow of Greek hospitality.

Stalis is renowned for its soft, golden sands and shallow waters, making holidays to Stalis popular amongst families, couples and friendship groups alike.

But a holiday to Stalis offers so much more than beaches. Hike one of the nearby mountain trails, visit the Lychnostatis Open Air Museum or sip on a cocktail by the water’s edge.

Holidaymakers seeking a more authentic experience of Crete would benefit from a holiday to Stalis. Less populated than other resorts, there is an air of tradition in this old fishing village.

Traditional Cretan cuisine draws many visitors to Stalis. Healthy and abundant, sample local olives, olive oil and Greek yoghurt. Pair local cheese with a glass of white wine made on the island of Crete. In fact, the island is Greece's second-largest wine-producing region and one of the oldest wine-producing areas in Europe!

Stalis is also easily accessible from Heraklion Airport Airport, 32 kilometres (20 miles) west of the village, meaning transfer time is minimal.
