Paralimni is a charming town located in the south-eastern part of Cyprus. This coastal treasure is known for its stunning beaches, vibrant culture, and rich history, making it an ideal destination for travellers seeking a Mediterranean experience.

Paralimni is situated in the Famagusta District, near the popular resort town of Ayia Napa and the beautiful Protaras area. Its strategic location on the south eastern coast of Cyprus means it enjoys a Mediterranean climate with long, sunny summers and mild winters, making it a year-round destination.

The town is surrounded by some of the island's most stunning beaches, such as Fig Tree Bay and Konnos Beach. These sandy shores are perfect for sunbathing, swimming in the crystal-clear waters, and enjoying water sports like snorkelling and jet-skiing.

Paralimni's town centre is filled with traditional Cypriot charm, with its quaint streets, local shops, and cosy tavernas serving delicious Mediterranean cuisine. Try some meze (small dishes) and local specialties to enjoy the flavours of Cyprus.

Getting Around Paralimni

🚌 Transport in the Paralimni Region

Cyprus is compact and so getting around the island is relatively easy. Hiring a car offers the freedom to explore, especially if you want to discover areas of Cyprus that are a little out of the way, where public transport is more limited. Bus services in the south of the island are frequent, clean and comfortable, and provide a cheap way of exploring the island. Rural buses may be more unreliable. There are often no services on Sundays. Roads are good, and well signposted, but they’re slightly better in the south. Driving is on the left hand side of the road.
