As with most beaches on this coastline, it’s a black-sand volcanic beach which supplies striking surroundings to soak up, as well as gorgeous ocean views. The Atlantic breezes make for fabulous watersports, with plenty of surfing, snorkelling and diving on offer. The scenic promenade is also close by to Las Galletas, and serves up high-end restaurants and bars to indulge in.

 

For the adventurous and nature lovers alike, Costa del Silencio has some impressive off-road mountain biking and hiking routes to try out. Or if you have the kids in tow, exciting Siam Park is just outside of the resort, one of Europe’s largest water parks ready and waiting for a splash-tastic time! Book a diving session to explore the depths of the Atlantic, go paddle boarding or simply splash around in the waves.

With Costa del Silencio being a quiet and calm resort, you might have to go a little bit further out to partake in some fun physical excursions. If golfing is your thing, there are some fabulous courses nearby including Golf courses Golf del Sur, Amarilla Golf and Golf los Palos. If real golf seems a bit daunting and 18 holes is a bit too long away from your sun lounger, why not try minigolf instead? If you’d rather have a bit more of a workout, book a session at one of the nearby tennis courts where you can practice being the next Roger or Serena. There are also beaches suited for naturists, which are perfect for those free spirits who fancy an all-over tan!

A holiday to Costa del Silencio can most certainly be a quiet one if you choose, but if you do fancy a night out, there are various options. There are few complex areas nearby that have a host of bars, nightclubs and restaurants where you can spend your evenings being entertained. The bustling promenade in Las Galletas has some delicious seafood restaurants which serve fresh fish sourced locally, as well as more bars, cafes and other eateries to choose from. If you want to let your hair down, venture out to lively Playa las Americas and dance until dawn at one of the many clubs.

🚌 Transport in the Costa del Silencio Region

Tenerife is easy to navigate with a range of transport readily available here. The public buses are a cheap way for visitors to explore the island, but most holidaymakers tend to use taxis and hire cars as they offer that extra flexibility during your stay. There are numerous cycling and hiking trails for the more adventurous or daily boat services hopping between each island too.

Travelling by bus or car There are regular buses which leave from most of the main resorts and stop at places of interest, neighbouring resorts and attractions. There are many car rental companies available in and around the resort. If you’re traveling from rom Reina Sofia Airport take the TF-1 motorway; from Teno take the TF-47 motorway.
Passports and Visas

The United Kingdom is currently part of the EU, therefore no Visa is required to travel on holidays to Costa del Silencio which is located on the Spanish island of Tenerife. A valid passport is necessary so be sure to check your expiry date before booking your holiday.

Health and Safety

Golf del Silencio is an up-and-coming resort town with a good reputation for a safe holiday. It’s important to take extra care on the roads as the traffic is on the other side than in the UK and reading all the safety information on the beach before entering the water is vital. Travel insurance is essential and it’s advisable to apply for EHIC before travelling.

Vaccinations

There aren’t any specific jabs that are required to go on holiday to Spain, but it’s important to check new guidelines with your GP. Routine vaccinations should be as up to date as possible.
