The clue is in the name when it comes to Costa del Silencio holidays. Translating into ‘the silent coast’, this quaint resort is tucked away on the southernmost part of Tenerife and offers a calm retreat in the Canaries. Boasting beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean and a stunning natural terrain, holidays to Costa del Silencio guarantees an unforgettable Spanish experience.
While Costa del Silencio is purpose-build, it doesn’t have its own beach, but there is one located a short walk away in Las Galletas. As with most beaches on this coastline, it’s a black-sand volcanic beach which supplies striking surroundings to soak up, as well as gorgeous ocean views. The Atlantic breezes make for fabulous watersports, with plenty of surfing, snorkelling and diving on offer. The scenic promenade is also close by to Las Galletas, and serves up high-end restaurants and bars to indulge in.
For the adventurous and nature lovers alike, Costa del Silencio has some impressive off-road mountain biking and hiking routes to try out. Or if you have the kids in tow, exciting Siam Park is just outside of the resort, one of Europe’s largest water parks ready and waiting for a splash-tastic time! Great for families after a relaxing holiday in the year-round sun, this resort is just a short hop away from the UK.

Costa del Silencio boasts beautiful beaches along a jaw-dropping coastline, with a perfect breeze blustering over from the north African coast to match, making it an ideal spot for surfers and watersports enthusiasts. Holidays in this resort mean you can do your best mermaid impression and explore the Atlantic Ocean in style. Book a boat trip to go whale watching or dolphin spotting, sail a catamaran and take in the stunning views of the coast, or bask in the sunshine on a leisurely cruise along the shore. Travel up to El Médano, which is a short car journey away and enjoy a spot of surfing on the wonderful waves.

Costa del Silencio doesn’t have a beach per se, (despite being a purpose-built resort) however a short journey to Las Galletas will allow you to spend a wonderful day on the sand. You can sunbathe on the fine sandy shores, basking in the Spanish sunshine and feeling the world melt away. Book a diving session to explore the depths of the Atlantic, go paddle boarding or simply splash around in the waves.
