Getting Around

Lanzarote is easy to get around and there are transfers, buses and taxis operating from the airport. There are comfortable, air conditioned buses, which leave regularly from most of the main resorts and stop at the island’s most famous attractions. The smaller, local buses are less reliable.

If you want to explore more of the island, hiring a car is highly recommended. The island’s main roads are easy to navigate and well looked after; the smaller roads can be somewhat of a challenge. Driving is on the right-hand side.

Sandy Delights

Enjoy some of the best beaches you’ll find anywhere in the world!

The beaches in Costa Teguise are your short-haul alternative to the Caribbean.

Swathes of fine white sand lie uninterrupted for miles and in some stretches you can find black volcanic sand too.

Los Charcos, Las Cucharas and Playa Jablillo are among the resort's favourite beaches ideal for bronzing, book-reading and diving into the warm blue waters.

Indulge Yourself

Sample local cuisine to really treat your taste buds.

For an authentic and traditional dining experience head to one of the local, family run tapas restaurants on the seafront.

You'll be spoilt for choice with a huge selection of fresh seafood, tapas, home-made stews and delicious wines - don't miss the Ron Miel honeyed rum, a local favourite.

Pueblo Marinero square is also a hot spot for trying the areas traditional Canarian food, order some of the local fish that's served with a spicy sauce and you'll leave satisfied.
