Getting Around Puerto Rico

🚌 Transport in the Puerto Rico Region

Gran Canaria is easy to navigate – car hire and transfers are widely available from the airport and in resort. The public buses are a cheap way for visitors to explore the island but most holidaymakers tend to use taxis and hire cars. In resorts, bars, amenities and beaches are all usually in walking distance. The islands are full of cycling and hiking trails and there are daily ferry rides and boat excursions along the coast.

Travelling by bus or carThere are comfortable, air-conditioned buses which leave from most of the main resorts regularly and stop at the island’s most famous attractions. Ask at your hotel or the tourist information point for up-to-date schedules. The smaller, local buses are slightly less reliable. Hiring a car is cheap, easy and highly recommended. The island’s main roads are easy to navigate and well looked after; the smaller roads can be more of a challenge. Driving is on the left.
