Once you've relaxed on the beach and tried your hand at the watersports, head over to neighbouring Las Palmas, just an hour's drive away, for shopping and sightseeing. The nightlife in Puerto Mogan is one of its main attraction. There is a wide range of excellent restaurants and lively bars to choose from, especially in the marina and beach areas of Mogan. If you are looking for a party scene venture to one of the neighbouring resorts like Puerto Rico or Playa del Ingles, just a few minutes’ drive away from Puerto Mongo.

Stay in Golden Sands and enjoy its upmarket bars and restaurants or take a short walk into Playa de las Americas and enjoy the livelier, late night clubs there. Head to Harley's American Bar for great food and entertainment, snack on seafood at Carlos' or enjoy traditional Spanish cuisine at Barracuda Barra y Mante.

Getting Around Playa de Mogan

🚌 Transport in the Playa de Mogan Region

Getting around Gran Canaria is easy thanks to the public transport available around the island. Public buses are a cheap way of getting from A to B, but most visitors prefer to travel by taxi or hire car. If you're feeling active, the islands are full of cycling and hiking trails you can experiment with or why not hop on a boat and explore further afield? There are comfortable, air-conditioned buses that leave from most of the main resorts regularly and stop at the island’s most famous attractions – please check with your hotel for excursions and timetables. Avoid hopping on the smaller, local buses as they are less reliable. Hiring a car is easy and highly recommended. Driving is on the left-hand side.

Travelling by bus or carIf you want to get around the island, there are plenty of buses that leave from most of the main resorts and stop at the island’s attractions, however the local services can sometimes be unreliable. Hiring a car is highly recommended if you want to explore the surrounding area. You can hire from in resort or at the airport. Remember that driving is on the left-hand side.
