Visit Europe’s Largest Waterpark

On the outskirts of Lloret de Mar, you will come across the largest water park in Europe: Waterworld. This spectacular water park caters for both young and older children (adults as well). This impressive water park covers an area of 140,000m2, and is one of the most popular children’s activities in Lloret de Mar. Kids can enjoy the ultimate experience here on the specifically designed swimming pools with water playgrounds and slides, but also in the wave pool or the family-friendly swimming pools with Jacuzzi. The Park also has a children's lagoon and a variety of restaurants and snack bars where you can quickly recharge your batteries.

Visit the Camp Nou

We recommend incorporating a day trip to the cosmopolitan city of Barcelona to visit the world-famous Camp Nou stadium, home of Barcelona FC, whilst on your cheap beach holiday. The journey is roughly an hour’s bus ride away or no more than 30 minutes by taxi. Being one of the biggest stadiums in the world and the club having so much history behind it, the tour is extremely popular not just with tourists but with Spanish people too, so we advise pre-booking tickets in advance. Once the tour is over and as you are in the city, we also recommend you go and see some Gaudi architecture such as the Casa Milà arts venue, Gaudi’s towering basilica and the Sagrada Familia church, to name a few.

Boat Trips and Water Sports

Put the cocktail down, get off the sun lounger and go enjoy a boat trip on the crystal clear waters or participate in one of the many water sports on offer. Lloret de Mar is the right place for real water sports enthusiasts. The resort has an array of boat trips and also different kinds of water sports to choose from. Two of the most popular kid’s boat trips here are on a pirate boat or a glass bottom boat where the kids can breathtakingly enjoy the underwater life. In addition to the many boat trips, the resort also has a range of other great water activities for young & old. For example, the whole family can hire pedal boats on the large beaches, ride on the banana boat, the ski bus or fly fishing. Old children can experience more of an adrenaline rush by giving the following a try, kayaking, snorkelling, diving and even water skiing, kite surfing and jet skiing.
