It’s official! On Monday 8th November 2021, the USA finally reopened its borders to international travellers - including those from the UK - as long as you are fully jabbed, just in time for Christmas!

Nowhere does Christmas like the US, so if you had the opportunity to get reacquainted with this wonderful country over the festive period, where should you go? Well here we give our top tips and we are sure you will not be disappointed wherever you choose.

New York City

It just had to be the Big Apple at the top of our list didn’t it? Christmas USA holidays just scream New York, with it being home to many, many of our famous Christmas movies from Elf to Home Alone 2. There’s plenty of Christmas joy to be had around the city, with the Winter Village at Bryant Park a top pick for many, home to over 60 stalls, a 17k square foot ice rink and lots of other attractions, making it perfect for the whole family. For something a little bit different, take a bus tour of Dyker Heights. The residents here take the holidays very seriously and the tour will take you around all of the best houses where you will see some of the most outrageous and over-the-top Christmas decorations you have ever seen! For something a bit more traditional, The Rockefeller Christmas Tree remains perhaps the city’s biggest Christmas draw for tourists and locals alike, so make sure it is on your NYC Christmas wish list!

Las Vegas

Las Vegas is known for doing things big and Christmas in Las Vegas is no different. Vegas is jammed to the rafters every week of the year and Christmas is always a fun time to be in town. Unlike other places, Las Vegas is always well and truly open for business on Christmas Day itself, so you can spend the big day doing whatever takes your fancy from the wealth of options at your fingertips. All buffets can be booked in advance so make sure you book early to avoid disappointment. Visit the Bellagio Fountains for a specular display with Christmas tunes pumping out. It’s free too so what’s to lose? Elsewhere experience the world’s largest Christmas Light Maze adventure as Enchant is set to arrive at the Las Vegas Ballpark. With a light maze, a Christmas market and the opportunity to meet Santa it is a great family day out – and isn’t that exactly what Christmas is all about?!

Boston

Christmas in Boston turns the city into a festive wonderland that makes it an ideal alternative to New York or Chicago. With plenty of lights, spectacular decorations and special holiday music found throughout the city, make Christmas in Boston come true for you and your family in 2021!
