REVEALED: HOW TO STAY HEALTHY ON A LONG HAUL FLIGHT
Dreaming of touching down on the exotic palm-lined beaches of Cuba, Goa or Florida? While you can guarantee a healthy dose of Vitamin D awaits, other health benefits while travelling can pose a challenge, with your wellbeing taking a hit before you even start unpacking.
We partnered up with YouGov to survey 1420 Brits who had previously endured long haul flights (lasting six hours or more), asking how much water they consumed while flying – the results may surprise you. Only 10% of people revealed they drink the recommended amount of one cup or more, per hour, with a huge 76% of travellers drinking less than the recommended healthy amount, and almost one-in-ten admitting to drinking no water at all during a long haul flight.
Staying hydrated isn’t the only way to stay in tiptop condition while flying though, with plenty of health hacks to consider such as moving more, avoiding caffeine and even snacking on some charcoal… yes, you heard us right!
