When to visit Thailand?

One of the few countries to be removed from the no-fly list, you can now visit Thailand without the need to quarantine when you come back. Thailand is handling the Coronavirus crisis very well and its resorts and beaches are safe and clean with sensible precautions in place to stop any future waves as of October 2nd 2020.

However, October to March just also happens to be the perfect time of the year to visit Thailand. The weather is at its very best, being dry and warm without being too humid. It’s also the perfect time for us Brits as the weather has turned the opposite way and we’re all freezing our toes off and walking home from work in the dark!

However, this is also peak season in Thailand and while that may have put you off in previous years, with international tourism from the UK down around 70% you can be assured that the beaches, shops, hotels and attractions are operating well below capacity so you may end up with one of those scenic beaches from The Beach all to yourself (sadly with no Di Caprio for company). Check out our range of Thailand Holidays.

The weather in Thailand

The tropical climate of Thailand is delightful and with average temperatures of 28c there’s absolutely no chance to leave without a tan. The hottest season is March to May and the cooler season from October to February but the term “cool” is relative here with several days topping 30c, it’s 32c in Pattaya today (October 2nd). Just be sure to avoid rainy season; June-September.

The capital, Bangkok, is among the hottest cities in the world where the sun can beat down on you from directly above and you will feel those 40c temperatures in March-May. We recommend visiting from now until February to enjoy hot but not inferno weather.

Pattaya holidays average 30c in the day in season and humidity remains fine until March. As per all our Thailand resorts, we recommend going between October-End of February to ensure great weather, no heatwaves, and no tropical rainfall!

Spotlight on Pattaya

There’s a Thai resort for every traveller, from the single explorer to the family to the retired couple, but no one resort can cater for the needs of so many travellers as Pattaya.

Pattaya is our top selling resort in Thailand for good reason. It’s a happy place. The beaches make you smile, the service makes you smile, the food makes you smile. It’s so easy to just be in Pattaya. It’s an escape from the daily grind of the UK working life and a place to magical memories with loved ones.

Pattaya has not just gorgeous beaches (though we included one below) there are also so many things to see and do. The Alcatraz show, Tiffany’s show, plenty of art museums and even Coral Island wont be over-crowded at the moment. There’s also a wealth of street life and colourful arcades and shops from which to pick up a western bargain or ten.

Probably the best thing about Pattaya, and this goes hand in hand with the beach life, are the water sports. Pattaya offers some of the best diving and snorkelling anywhere in the world.

We offer holidays to Pattaya from £495 per person per week, call one of the teletextperts for the very best and latest Thailand holiday deals.
