Quarantine is lifted – Italian Holidays are back!

Italy is open to again from July 10th July for residents of England (with the rest of the UK set to follow suit soon) without the need to quarantine upon your return. Unfortunately, Italy suffered similarly to the UK during their Coronavirus outbreak but they’ve been open to visitors for a few weeks now and need our holiday support more than ever. Italy’s economy relies on the tourist trade with 1€ in every 8€ into the economy generated by tourism.

There are some amazing Italy Holiday deals available at the moment so whether you fancy a city break to Rome, Venice, Florence or Naples or a lakeside holiday in Garda or beachfront fun in Sorrento or Sicily, Teletext Holidays has the best prices on the internet for Italian Holidays.

Here are four Italian destinations that you should consider for your 2020, post coronavirus holiday.

The Eternal City – Mighty Roma!

If you’ve never visited Rome you’re missing out on one of the wonders of the world. Walking around Rome is like being at an open air historical theme park. Around every corner is a sight, so ancient, so architecturally important, that it would be declared a tourist attraction in its own right in the UK.

A weekend in Rome is not enough, even a full week is pushing it. You could spend a fortnight here and only begin to soak up some Roman culture. Yes, there’s the Vatican, St Peters, the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, The Forum, the Colosseum, The Pantheon, The Sistine Chapel – we could go on – but it’s not only the sights of Rome that make it special, it’s not the history, it’s not even the pizza, it’s the people.

Rome is one of the most welcoming cities for tourists and they like to spoil you. You’re guaranteed to be brought some limoncello or house booze at the end of the evening, you’ll be complimented, laughed along with and generally made to live La Dolce Vita in Rome. Make that roman weekend a Roman Holiday instead.

Venice – Beaches, Gondolas and no Cornettos

Sadly, nowhere in Venice can you find a singing Gondolier handing out free ice-creams. However, there are a thousand reasons to visit the city of love. You already knew about Casanova and about the Venetian court, the masked balls and the canals but did you know Venice also has its very own beach? The Lido di Jesolo beach, just off the Island of Venice, means you can combine a city break with a beach holiday in 2020! Check out the 4 star Negresco Hotel for an amazing £35 a night.

Sicily – Indulge your senses

Sicily Holidays are our top selling Italian Holidays for a good reason. This island, off the toe of Italy is stunningly beautiful, has breath-taking scenery, ancient history, unbeatable local food and wine and a volcano! Get ready to pack your trunks too because Sicily has some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. Golden sands, isolated coves, nature reserves and seaside resorts are all waiting to be discovered during your idyllic Sicilian escape. Check into the lively capital, Palermo, which has some the best of both city and beach vibes.

The Amalfi Coast and Positano – Walking with the Stars

Is there anywhere more picture perfect than Positano on Italy’s Amalfi Coast? If you’re looking to up your Insta likes, a trip along the Amalfi Coast, taking in Sorrento, Naples and Positano is for you. This adorable town is carved into the cliff face, and possesses dazzling bright orange and blue hues that’ll make you reach for Dolce and Gabbanas. It’s the town to see and be seen, where the rich and famous of Italy come for their own holidays. Say Hello Totti!
