We returned from our holiday last week and had a great stay at this cozy beachfront hotel. The rooms were clean and cleaned daily. Free sunbeds for hotel guests were a great advantage. The food selection was not very large, but everything was tasty, especially the desserts. A nice extra was the waffle service, which was a great addition. The selection of cocktails was quite limited.
The biggest advantage of this hotel is the amazing staff – always friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Yakup and the guys at the beach bar for their great service. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel! 😊

Xperia Saray Hotel Alanya – Disappointing experience for a 4-star hotel

The hotel staff are kind, friendly, and helpful, which is one of the few positive things about this hotel. However, there are several major issues that seriously affect the overall experience.

The Wi-Fi is the biggest problem. It is practically unusable inside the rooms and only works properly around the beach bar and some areas of the beach. You cannot even reliably send a simple WhatsApp message from your room. For anyone who needs internet for communication, work, emails, or basic online needs, this hotel is not suitable.

The food quality is extremely disappointing for a 4-star hotel at this price level. The selection is very limited, with around 7 dishes including side dishes. Lunch often includes chicken nuggets, and dinner options run out quickly. If fish is the main dish at 7:00 PM, there is a real chance it will already be finished by 7:30 PM, as well as desserts. When something runs out, it is often replaced with something completely different instead of being refilled.

The rooms are small, and the biggest issue is the balcony air conditioning units. In our case, we had our own AC unit plus the neighboring room’s unit on our balcony. The hot air and noise directly affected our comfort, especially while sleeping.

The beach area has serious management problems. An older beach employee is often rude and appears to be under the influence of alcohol. He argues with guests, insults them in Turkish, and rents sunbeds to people who are not hotel guests. Guests from Xperia Grand Bali, which is a cheaper hotel without its own beach, are also allowed to use Xperia Saray’s beach and snack bar, creating unfair conditions for guests who paid more.

Beach towels are very poor quality — extremely thin, worn out, and faded from years of use. The towel service is also badly organized: although the spa is open until 8:00 PM, the employee often leaves around 7:00 PM, leaving guests with wet towels and sometimes no clean towels available the next morning. The €10 towel deposit taken in advance is also unnecessary; charging only for lost towels would be more reasonable.

Hygiene standards are below 4-star expectations. At the beach bar, many coffee cups are dirty, and much of the washing appears to be done by hand because the dishwasher cannot handle the volume. In the main restaurant, many plates are dirty with food residue, and we even found chewing gum stuck to a supposedly clean plate. Guests also enter the restaurant wet from the beach or pool, leaving wet chairs for others.

The beach music can sometimes be enjoyable, but it is often too loud, with a lot of Russian music that many guests do not enjoy. The evening DJ usually continues until 11:00 PM or sometimes 11:30 PM.

Overall, the friendly staff are the only real positive. Unfortunately, the poor Wi-Fi, very bad food, hygiene issues, and beach management problems are far below what is expected from a hotel with a 4-star rating and this price level.

I can't find enough good words to express my satisfaction with this beautiful hotel. I stayed for 2 weeks with my wife and our 3 year old grandson, who was apparently the only child in the hotel during our 2 week stay, so he was a treat for everyone.
I would like to highlight the kindness of the entire hotel staff, starting with the exceptional receptionist Artur and his colleague, through the restaurant manager Arif and all the waiters and chefs in the restaurant, truly incredible kindness of all employees, the staff in charge of the SPA center and changing towels were extremely kind, the wonderful and kind workers at the beach bar and on the beach itself also tried to please us as much as possible, especially our grandson, the workers who served fruit by the pool in beautiful carts - carriages every day at 3:00 PM, they did not miss a single day to always serve our grandson fruit first and if he wanted it, even additional fruit. The entertainment staff tried very hard to please the guests and make their stay more interesting, although my wife and I could not really indulge in that type of entertainment due to our obligations to our grandson. We mostly used the exceptional pool that seemed to be created for our grandson, and a little less often the beach, which was also very well-maintained. There were always places on the sun loungers, regardless of the fact that the hotel was full to the last seat. The evening program was also great, sometimes we attended the program, sometimes not, but we watched from the large terrace above the pool near our room. I would also like to highlight the exceptional kindness of the hotel doctor Hurije and her coworker, who significantly helped me to repair a very unpleasant cut on the sole of my foot and checked on our grandson's health almost every day, truly exceptional dedication to her job.
I may have forgotten to mention someone or something but overall we had a great stay in a beautiful hotel. This was our first stay at the XPERIA SARAY BEACH hotel but not our last, I hope to see you next year at the same time.

Turn the music down, very inconsiderate. Venue is dead and the music is so loud, it's embarrassing.

Awful place, music far too loud for no reason? Entertainment venue is empty or with everyone sat down, no reason for loud part music
