We stayed at this hotel for 11 days (10 nights) as a couple on our first vacation together in July. Overall, we had a great holiday and made wonderful memories despite a few disappointments.

The location is excellent – the beach, shops, bars, and the cable car are all within walking distance. We chose to walk up to the castle instead of using the cable car, but it's a great option to have. The staff were always kind and friendly, and the bar being open until midnight was a nice bonus.

The food was probably the biggest letdown. For a 4-star hotel, we expected more variety. The menu started repeating after a few days, the selection of meat was limited, and the outdoor grill followed the same routine every day – omelets or pancakes for breakfast, grilled fish or meat for dinner.

A funny little thing we noticed was the apparent shortage of forks. Every time our plates were cleared, our forks disappeared too. When we went back for more food, there were often plenty of clean spoons... but no forks. It became a small daily challenge!

The biggest disappointment was the housekeeping. Our room was cleaned only twice during the entire stay, we used the same towels almost the whole vacation, and after we both got a stomach illness, we even had to buy our own toilet paper from a nearby supermarket because it wasn't being restocked. Since we had no balcony or proper place to dry our swimsuits and towels, we had to use a shoelace that was already there as an improvised drying line and hope it wouldn't fall down.

Despite these issues, we still really enjoyed our holiday. With better housekeeping, more variety in the food, and equal treatment for all guests, this hotel could be a truly great place to stay.

Now when I look at the ratings I gave this hotel, I believe I had been too kind.

The best thing about this hotel os what you get for your money. The quality of everything, though, is on the down side.

The rooms are mostly small and reached by one small and slow elevator. They are not cleaned daily and, on the days the cleaning lady does show up, it can happen as late as 4pm. So there's a good chance she'll catch you in your room instead of while you're at the beach. The towels are said to be changed every other day and the bedsheets every three days but this is not true. It's more likely you'll have to chase the cleaning lady down the hall and ask for fresh towels.

The food choice is rather small and of average quality at best. The table sheets are often stained and I had my doubts regarding plates and cutlery at times too. Beer is poured on small glasses of 2dl. Probably to make you drink less after giving up on going back to the bar multiple times.

The beach is close by, less than 5 minutes on foot. It's big, sandy and beautiful. The water also looks beautiful and is warm (July). It is not a private beach though! The hotel has a contract with one beach bar so hotel guests don't have to pay for the sunbeds and umbrellas. Drinks and food are not included and you have to pay extra. Being not private means other people outside the hotel occupy the sunbeds too. Furthermore, there is big part of the beach closer to the water, between the sunbeds and water, that is public in every way and where people bring their own towels and umbrellas. Having a parking nearby means this part of the beach is often really crowded. This part of the beach is popular for big tourist ships too. They bring hundreds of tourists daily and park just offshore while the tourists swim. The worst thing is they leave the water dirty behind them. You have until 9:30am usually before they start arriving.

The hotel is fine. Location is good and generally the hotel is clean, but there are some things that could have been better.
Room was small, we didn't get 1,5l of water every day like it was supposed to be. Lunch box for travel was terrible. Internet connection could be better as well. All in all, general mark on a scale 1 to 5, 3/3.5 at best.

Headline: DISASTER! BEDBUGS, SYRINGES ON THE BEACH AND ZERO SERVICE

I am writing this to warn everyone: STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL! Our vacation in Xperia was a complete nightmare.
1.	BEDBUGS: After the first night, my body was covered in bites. When I showed this to the reception, they simply suggested "spraying with some chemicals" instead of moving us. Only after a huge scandal and a call to the Rainbow travel agency representative did we get a new room. Shockingly, the staff admitted that the new room had been treated for bedbugs just 4 days ago! The whole hotel is infested. (Photos attached).
2.	DANGEROUS BEACH: We found a used syringe in the sand on the hotel's beach. It lay there for two days, and no one cleaned it up, even after we pointed it out! They excuse it as "off-season," but safety should not be seasonal. (Photos attached).
3.	INTERNET: The Wi-Fi is prehistoric. I got 1.99 Mbps, which is useless for 2026. I had to go to local cafes just to send a message.
4.	FOOD & ALL-INCLUSIVE: This is not All-inclusive; it's a canteen. The main restaurant was closed. We ate at the beach bar every day: chicken, rice, and one type of soup. No seafood at all!
5.	NO ANIMATION: Despite what was promised, there were no activities, no music, and no entertainment. The pool was cold and not heated.
6.	CHECK-IN: We arrived at 16:00, but our room wasn't ready until almost 18:00.
This hotel barely reaches 2 stars. It’s dangerous for your health and a total waste of money. Never again!

The hotel's location was excellent, just a few minutes' walk from the beach. The hotel offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there's an open buffet (the variety was much more than we expected). The kitchen and restaurant staff were very polite, especially the chef, Habib, who was very helpful. The hotel was better than I expected. I definitely recommend it to everyone.
