We had a wonderful stay at this resort and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The resort is beautiful, very well-maintained, and in a fantastic location, making it easy to explore the surrounding area while also enjoying a relaxing getaway. It was our first family holiday with two kids (aged 6 and 4) and we booked a two bedroom apartment. It was perfectly equipped with everything we needed and very comfortable.
The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming.
We made so many great memories here and will always look back on this trip with a smile. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with excellent service and a perfect location. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and enjoyed our time at the hotel. The property was clean, comfortable, and provided good value for the price.

There are a few things future guests should be aware of. The bathrooms are quite dated and could benefit from some renovations. Housekeeping is not provided daily and, if I understood correctly, room cleaning is only included for stays of four nights or longer. Additionally, I was surprised to learn there was an extra charge when I requested a fresh towel.

It's also important to note that having a car is highly recommended. If you want to eat somewhere other than the hotel restaurant, there are very few dining options within walking distance. Likewise, if you're planning to spend time at different beaches around the island, having a car will make your stay much more convenient.

Despite these points, we still had a good experience overall and enjoyed our stay.

We are just back from a week at this hotel - we are a family of two adults and one toddler. We had a great time! The apartment was spacious with a fully equipped kitchen (especially handy having a washing machine). The balcony was very large with a clothes horse and a high safety wall, which was reassuring for us with a toddler.

TRAVEL AND TIMING
We travelled just out of season, right after the schools had gone back, so the hotel was at a nice, relaxed level of busyness.

DINING AND BREAKFAST
We paid for B&B and the breakfast each morning was well worth it. We tended to have several courses every day, including:

* Fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, continental options, yoghurt, smoothies, and juices
* Coffee (the only disappointment was the machine coffee, which was quite weak)
* Optional made-to-order hot breakfast choices
* Churros to finish, and on some days, delicious baklava!

The on-site restaurants were good, and overall service was very attentive. If you wander through the larger campus, there are a couple of other dining options available - we tried Zac's at the Ramada, though it was a bit disappointing. We also walked off-site to Colinas, which was a lovely, popular local taverna.

POOL AND AMENITIES
The swimming pool was lovely, featuring a kiddie pool, a nice pool bar, and plenty of sun loungers available during our stay.

ADDRESSING POINTS FROM OTHER REVIEWERS

1. Stairs and Hillside Location: Yes, there are stairs to climb - we were up two storeys, which was no big deal and well worth it for the sea view! The site is on an undulating hillside which adds steep paths and steps. If you have mobility issues, you may wish to consider staying elsewhere.
2. Ants in the Apartment: A normal reality in hot climates. Keep doors and windows closed and keep all food sealed to avoid attracting them.
3. Bathroom Odours: Common in warm climates due to trap evaporation. Simply run the taps for a moment to refill the water traps and the smell disappears.
4. Dark Interiors: Local interior design varies by country. It wasn't like our home, but we didn't expect it to be - that is half the fun of travelling!
5. Restaurant Prices and Location: On-site dining reflects convenience pricing. The hotel is somewhat isolated, but that tranquillity is part of the appeal. Fuengirola is a 10-15 minute drive away (an Uber runs about 20-25 euros), so having a hire car is definitely recommended.
6. The Beach: Accessed via an underpass, the beach is a short walk or hotel road train ride away. It runs alongside the motorway so you can hear traffic, and it is not the deepest stretch of sand, but it was perfectly fine for a 3-year-old with a bucket and spade. There is also a small beach bar and lifeguards on duty. Bigger beaches are just a short drive away.

SUMMARY
If you go with realistic expectations for a hillside resort outside of town, you will have a fantastic holiday!

It was ok. We paid 330 EUR per night which seemed very overpriced. The beach nearby is really close to a very busy motorway and the sunbeds around the pool were all 'taken' by guest towels but almost all were empty. The pool staff removing towels would have helped.. When I enquired for a towel myself after checkin, the guest services sent me to another part of the complex, who sent me to another part of the complex, who sent me to a life guard. After 40 minutes, I got a towel, but that seemed excessive. The restaurant is in fact more expensive then Michelin guide restaurants in Fuengirola and the food is ok but again, overpriced. The staff in the restaurant and breakfast were nice but the whole experience was not worth the high price. This place is maybe ok for those who dont want to use the beach, prefer being in the pool then on a sunbed and want to prepare their own meals in the room.

We are extremely disappointed with our experience with this hotel before we have even arrived.

We originally booked a 3-night stay through Booking.com and were very excited about our upcoming visit. Unfortunately, when we tried to extend our reservation by just one additional night, we were told this was not possible because of a "minimum stay requirement." This explanation makes absolutely no sense. We are not attempting to make a new one-night booking—we are simply trying to add a fourth night to an existing 3-night reservation.

After several exchanges, the hotel eventually came back with what can only be described as an unreasonable alternative. Rather than allowing us to add a single night, they insisted that we cancel and rebook the entire stay. Even worse, the price they quoted for the additional night was almost as much as we are paying for the other three nights combined, and they also required full upfront payment.

What makes this even more frustrating is that a quick check of Booking.com and other travel websites shows that rooms are clearly available for the additional night we requested. The hotel is therefore not refusing because of a lack of availability; they are simply refusing to accommodate an existing confirmed guest who wishes to extend their stay.

The entire experience has been incredibly frustrating, inflexible, and customer-unfriendly. We were genuinely looking forward to staying here, but this experience has left a very negative impression before we have even checked in. Good hospitality is about helping guests and finding reasonable solutions, not creating unnecessary obstacles and imposing unreasonable costs.

Based on how we have been treated so far, we would strongly advise potential guests to think carefully before booking. A hotel's service should not begin at check-in—it begins from the moment a reservation is made. Unfortunately, our experience has demonstrated a complete lack of flexibility and customer care.
