Excellent stay at Wyndham Grand Algarve! Would certainly recommend.
I booked a short stay for a birthday celebration and the staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful.

We arrived early and our luggage was kept for us so that we could have lunch in the bar. Again excellent service from the lady who checked us in and came and found us in the bar to let us know when our suite was ready. Fortunately, it was available earlier than the expected check in time and they had already placed our bags in the suite for us whilst we dined.
Thanks to Vitor who showed us to our suite on arrival and gave us key hotel information.
And to Ella from Guest Relations who had assisted me pre-arrival with arranging a birthday surprise that was delivered to the room and was very well received.

There is a wide selection of foods at breakfast, the spa facilities were enjoyable and the suite was as expected, spacious and well maintained.

My only disappointment is that we didn’t stay longer and that I didn’t manage to take note of all the names of the staff from check in, greeters at the door, the bar, breakfast, and the spa to thank them again for making our stay memorable - but I hope this review will be seen/shared with the teams.

Recently spent 4 nights at the Grand Wyndham with my wife & daughter.  We were in a Sunset Suite which was of a superb standard.  Modern and tastefully furnished with all the amenities one could need.  Very comfy beds too!
The staff were also fabulous.   A pleasure to deal with.  Attentive yet unobtrusive.  We met with the hotel manager, Joana Silva, who was very welcoming and must be commended for putting together an excellent team.
The on site Spa is well worth a visit. Can highly recommend the deep tissue massage.
Breakfast quality was great and we loved the bar area for an informal meal or after dinner drinks.  Overall a great experience.  Will be back.

There is nothing not to like. We have stayed at this wonderful hotel many times over the years and it never disappoints.
Always a warm smile and welcome on arrival from the staff who could not be any more helpful. The suites are immaculate and full of everything you could wish. Love the buffet breakfasts which are among  he best I have sampled and the fun chat with Jorge who makes the best Omelettes. The lunch and dinner menus are lovely and the outdoor pool great to relax around.
A great place to base yourself as many great restaurants within walking distance. Hope to be back soon. Thanks to everyone at Wyndham Grand Algarve for making our stay so special and enjoyable.

Had a great time at the Wyndham! Rooms and common areas are very nice, not too over the top (like the Conrad) but just the right level in my eyes. Spacious 1 bed suite which had everything we needed. Was in a sunset one so at the front but could not hear the road and enjoyed the balcony.
Breakfast was excellent with everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel.
Pool area was good, always sun loungers available when we went (end of Aug) though it did feel a bit tight round the pool. It was a bit cold in the water but not too bad.
Gym and spa were very nice.
Beach shuttle worked great but watch out for €35 charge on sun loungers (not in Wydhams control)
Walkable to local spar Italian and coffee shop along with the lake and the shack restaurant.
Very friendly staff which really makes the trip.
It's a great base to explore QDL and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again if I was in the area.
500ml beer €6.5 in the bar which I though was pretty good.

Me and my wife stayed at the hotel for 1 week leaving on the 3rd of July.
The hotel is beautiful and very modern and staff were great.
The massive down side was our air conditioning didn’t work in our room.
We reported this 3 times to reception and we were fobbed off with a number of different excuses which included - it wasn’t working due to the heat wave, maintenance had looked at it and nothing wrong with it and maybe we should just close our curtains all day to keep the heat out!!
It was unbearably hot during the night and we didn’t get much sleep at all which ruined our holiday.
We heard other people complaining about the same issue therefore I think it’s an ongoing problem.
The reception did say they had a number of fans however all had been given out to other guests
For this reason I wouldn’t waste my money as it’s very expensive to stay here and you expect a 5* hotel to have working air conditioning .
Our friends we’re staying at different hotels nearby and no one else had any issues as we did so they cannot blame the heat wave.
Very disappointed and we would not return!!

Had a great week long stay here for a holiday in late September / early October.
Lovely hotel, very spacious feel about it and very nice facilities such as the gym, spa and pool.
The staff were amazingly welcoming and useful, giving their time and recommendations etc very freely and honestly.
The location is great if you like walking as its in an area where walking is very pleasant. Near 3 gold courses if you Golf.
Rooms were clean and spacious.
Overall recommended

Amazing stay at Wyndham Grand.
I cannot say enough good things about this hotel, it truly is beautiful. We had the perfect family holiday here and will definitely be back.
The hotel is spotlessly clean, food is lovely but the attentiveness of the staff is exceptional! My son has quite a lot of severe food allergies and they catered for these amazingly. The waiters/bar staff/reception all made him feel special and at ease. The care everyone gave him was just amazing, the pool bar staff, staff in the Grand bar and at breakfast (which was prepared separately to the buffet). I cannot emphasise how nice and genuine they all were.

Quinta do lago is beautiful. There is a spar just 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Behind the spar is a lovely Italian, vero Italian, that you can either dine in or get a take away pizza from. Again, they were also good and aware of food allergies.

Koko is a 10 minute walk from the hotel and is definitely a must to visit! The food is beautiful, and is lovely for families, really relaxed. Part of Koko offers take away ice creams. Which my boys absolutely loved visiting. They opened a fresh ice cream tub to ensure no cross contamination, I cannot thank them enough for this! The lady that served us was lovely and very conscientious!

Shack bar is a short taxi ride from the hotel. Definitely a must visit when at Quinta do lago. We hired a cabana. The boys loved the water sports/inflatables and most of all playing in the lake amongst the fish.

The beach shuttle service the hotel offers is also fantastic! We decided to return to the hotel earlier than originally planned, a quick call to the hotel and this was sorted.

Again, I cannot praise this hotel enough. We had the best holiday. Thank you.
