As a review, this will probably rattle on as an essay, so to save some people’s time, I will summarise by describing our stay as absolutely fantastic, wonderful, magnificent even. The room and hotel far surpassed our expectations, and the staff were extremely attentive and incredible. If you are looking for a great 5-star all-inclusive experience, then seriously do consider this hotel for your next holiday.
Now maybe the essay (but it was reviews such as this that persuaded us so may be worth a read)-
I would like to say I’m a well-travelled person. I used to be, up until 13 years ago; since we’ve just been travelling around the UK. That meant that the decision to go to Saphir Palace was based on reading multiple reviews (of the hotel, staff, food, housekeeping) its location, what excursions MTS had to offer; spending hours to ensure that our decision to go was the right one.
And it was. By the time the transfer bus arrived at the hotel, it was 8:30pm and pitch black, but we were so warmly welcomed by a man from reception staff called Lotfi (who, throughout the week, was an absolute gem answering our questions, and alongside his other reception staff, nothing was too much trouble at all). Straight away he placed our bags securely behind the desk and guided us to the restaurant (he understood it had been a long day and we were running on empty).
The waiters were extraordinarily attentive then and throughout the week, providing a service I’ve never rightly experienced in the UK before. As my pictures may reveal, the food (which was a split between a buffet and a la carte) was next level, exquisite, outstanding – the catering staff really know their stuff and wouldn’t look out of place on Masterchef. My partner and I were sat at the table thinking that this is far too good for the likes of us! We had breakfast brought up to the room one morning and that, with the gorgeous sea view, was a genuine “pinch me” moment. Absolutely classy and great attention to detail. Haifa, the Guest Relations Manager, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We were very pleased and assured that she was there, and she’s an asset to the hotel (as are the entire staff working there).
And let’s not forget the bar! Being all-inclusive the national alcoholic drinks were in on the price, so we enjoyed an array of drinks brought to our table by the tremendous bar staff. Honestly, we spent a fair few hours there, in view of the outside pool, they would notice our drinks low (from a distance!) and immediately ask if we’d like another, so attentive and polite. That, and the steady supply of olives, nuts and cheese which was a nice addition.  Talking of the pool, while we were there the temperature was a steady 18 degrees throughout the week, and as Brits we thought that was nice and warm, whereas the locals might find that a bit cool. The sunloungers were in storage but when we asked reception staff, two sunloungers were out within minutes – we felt we were a bit of a pain but they were very happy to oblige.
Housekeeping were at the top of their game as well – cleaning and replacing towels and linen when required. A great service that never gets noticed unless something goes wrong, but the housekeeping staff did a brilliant job.
In summary (I knew I’d get there at some point) – we haven’t been abroad for a long time, which made this all the more important to get right. Our experience at Saphir Palace has been nothing short of exemplary from beginning to end. We firmly recommend staying with them and are looking forward to staying there again next year.

Don't not stay here.. you we be better of going to North Korea. They are a lot more welcoming

Very disappointing stay – definitely not 5 star, more like 2 at best. The food was poor, rooms were not clean, and the whole place felt untidy. Hardly any staff around, and the ones we did deal with were very rude and unhelpful – it often felt like they didn’t like English guests.

The beach was dirty, the pool area needs serious maintenance, and there was constant noise from nearby clubs until 3–4am, making it impossible to relax. At dinner, we had to fetch our own drinks as no service was provided. There was also no entertainment whatsoever.

We ended up having to move rooms four times because of various issues – completely unacceptable for a so-called 5-star hotel. Overall, I would not recommend this place at all.

Got to see the Rep for Love holidays on the last day. He didn't seem to care about any problems. Very rude man.

I do not recommend this hotel if you are staying in Tunisia. Let’s start with the positives- the location of the hotel is great, you get the nice sea view in the rooms, the staff were friendly for most of the time. Unfortunately, for the positives that’s about it. First of all, the place in general is quite dirty, the hotel needs a deep clean EVERYWHERE. The room service doesn’t clean the rooms properly, they just kinda make it tidy on the surface that’s about it. For example, on day 3 of our in total 7 nights stay the glass was broken in our room snd the glass was literally never cleaned ever again. The washroom, the fridge had strange stains. The service is always what you expect from the 5 stars hotel. If you need water you have to get in by yourself in the lobby. One time we needed one more blanket and the staff didn’t bring after calling them 2 times, when I went to the reception to ask the staff for it in the person, the staff member was complaining for having to go get the blanket for me. The beach is has cigarete buts everywhere in the sand. The shower in the beach is really unkept too. The only kinda clean area in the hotel was the pool but even that needs major maintenance. The food was honestly not good, no authentic Arabic/Tunisian food, EVERYTHING was soo so bland, even desserts too🥲 Oh, and if you are a woman, you might get really uncomfortable by the staff trying to hit on you. The hotel is DEFINETELY not 5 stars, with major maintenance and deep clean everywhere maybe it could be okay again. For now, maximum I give it 3 stars and that’s being generous.

It was amazing! We were there for 10 days. Everyone was so nice to us, pool is amazing, beach as well. We had a lot of options for food which was great and we didn't have to wait too long to eat. It was clean and our room was cleaned every day. Also, our room view was fantastic (sea view from the photo attached) which was a big plus. There was aquagym every day which was a lot of fun so don't miss out on that! It wasn't loud and we didn't have activities all the time (not a lot of kids either) which was exactly what we were looking for. We really enjoyed our stay and if I come again to Tunisia, I will get the same hotel 😊 Not sure why the rating is so low when everything was amazing.

The hotel is advertised as 5 stars, but in European standards it feels closer to a 3+. The food and service were good, and the staff did their best to make guests comfortable. However, the beach was disappointing—it wasn’t cleaned daily and often looked dirty. The biggest downside is the shortage of sunbeds. For such a large hotel, there are far too few, and unless you go very early in the morning (around 7 AM), it’s almost impossible to find one.

The hotel was pleasant, but it does not meet the standards of a five-star property. The room was spacious and comfortable. However, the service was below average. The location is suitable during the summer season, but it feels quite isolated and lacks nearby activities in winter due to its distance from lively areas. The food was average, with limited variety, and the desserts were particularly disappointing, especially the cakes.
Final verdict : Not recommended as a five-star hotel. Suitable only for a short summer stay if expectations are modest.

Had a wonderful experience this July. The rooms have a lot of space, they are clean and most importantly the AC system is really good. Internet connection is also great. Food was delicious and fresh, there was plenty of options. Regarding the staff - they are very hospitable and professional. The pool is clean and the beach is not crowded at all. I highly recommend visiting this hotel if you plan going to Tunisia/Yasmine Hammamet, especially if you want a holiday to relax.
