We would like to inform you that a city tax will be charged by all hotels in Vila Nova de Gaia starting from 01st of December 2018.
Vila Nova de Gaia established a Tourist Tax. It was done by resolution of the City Council and it should be applicable from 1st of December 2018.
Both domestic and foreign tourists staying a night in Vila Nova de Gaia are required to pay a tax. This tax is paid per person and night on the amount of 2 euros, from 01st April to 30th September on a maximum of 7 nights, and paid per person and night on the amount of 1 euros, from 01st October to 31st March on a maximum of 7 nights.
The tax is applicable to hotel guests aged equal or over 16 years, birthdate included, irrespective of their place of residence.
This tax must be charged at the end of the stay.
