Just got back yesterday from a week AI, would recommend this hotel to anyone, with all holidays there are pros and cons so I short I'll start with pros.  Lovely friendly staff, good selection of drinks, fabulous pool area with so many sunbeds. Great looking kids pool, altho we stayed away from it 😆 and entertainment for kids and families. Food was so much nicer than expected, lean cuts of meat and lots of selection. We ate well all week. Room was adequate for the 2 of us, dated but clean and housekeeping came in everyday to make beds etc. Shower gel and hand soap provided, is a plus. Bus to beach (we didn't use. Was 35 min walk to beach) and 20 to alvor old town.

Cons, our biggest one was the evenings, what looks like a large inside lounge was very clearly not large enough for a virtually full hotel. The outside bar area closes at 1830 and the inside opens at 1900, after dinner it would have been nice to sit comfortably outside without having to walk inside, upstairs to fetch drinks in a busy bar with just 1 or 2 serving. The area outside is lovely but couldn't be enjoyed after dark as no comfy seating and minimal lighting.  If lucky enough to get seats inside the entertainment was limited. Singers each night (not sunday/monday) which were clearly aimed at the older (65/70+) clientèle.
(We resorted to our balcony each night) NO light on balcony so take a camping lamp.
No kettle in room, we bought our own as like to have a coffee on balcony in morning before breakfast. Mini bar in room was just an empty fridge, we expected drinks and snacks to be in there.  Wished we'd paid extra for pool view as our inland view was 2 old abandoned swimming pools.

Overall, I would recommend,  the pros outweighed the cons and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you for a lovely week.

Despite some initial apprehension after reading mixed reviews, our week at the Navigator Palm Oasis in Alvor turned out to be a fantastic family holiday. The all-inclusive package offered great value, with a diverse buffet catering to all tastes. Though not luxurious, the food covered all the basics and with a bit of timing, the buffet experience was enjoyable.

The hotel staff were consistently friendly and efficient, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Our room, though compact for a family of four, was clean and comfortable. The fantastic shower and the mini-balcony with a pool view were definite highlights. The well-maintained pool areas were a hit, and the pools themselves were excellent.

While the hotel is a bit out of the Alvor centre, the shuttle bus to the town and beach made getting around easy. The activity team was superb, keeping everyone entertained with a range of fun options like aqua fit, water polo, and even an exotic animal show! The music entertainment that was on also proved to be surprisingly good - with super talent on show!

Being the only English-speaking family added a unique touch to our stay. The Navigator Palm Oasis proved to be a great base for exploring the Algarve, and it's a fantastic choice for families seeking a stress-free holiday. We wholeheartedly recommend it!

Had a lovely stay at this friendly, comfortable hotel. All the staff were very nice and helpful. The area around the pool was very good with lots of sun beds and shade and a great bar. Food was also good; lots of it, good variety, the fruits and salads were fantastic. They also run a courtesy bus to/from town/beach a few times a day which was very popular. In summary very good stay and we will definitely come back.

Spent a total of 5 days at the palm oasis hotel. We received a very warm welcome from Sara at check-in and were equally impressed with the entertainers and the rest of the team throughout our stay. The kids loved the kids’ club and cinema nights. The food is standard for an all inclusive, well cooked and with some diversity too. We’d definitely return for another family holiday!
