The Chania Hotel

I had a great stay at the Chania Hotel. The location couldn't be better: less than 10 minutes walk to the charming Venetian harbour, and 2 minutes from the main coach station. Being just outside the hotel, there are no issues like narrow streets etc. to deal with for access. My room was stylish and modern, with an exceptionally comfortable bed. Slippers, bathrobe and complimentary were provided as expected. The bathroom had an excellent shower and there were lots of towels provided. It's worth noting all the controls for lights and curtains are electronic which took a little bit getting used to. Overall the service was very good with a nice welcome drink provided prior to check in. The only suggestion is that check-in could have been more efficient as I did have to sit and wait for a little while before getting the room key. The gym was very small and didn't have much equipment. I didn't have breakfast (nor did I wish to having taken a look at the buffet), but there is a nice coffee shop next door or you can walk into the old town, which doesn't take very long. I really liked the hotel, and the location in my opinion is brilliant! It's not a 5/5 simply as it was not a perfect stay as detailed above, and as it is a 5-star hotel the expectations are set accordingly.

Hotel deserves no less than 5 start, beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. Rooms are very modern and cosy, everything kept very clean. Breakfast bar/restaurant are offering delicious and high quality food that you don’t want to miss. Entry lobby also sets very pleasant design and barista can make great tasting coffee at any time. Make sure to get Espresso Freddo which became my favorite type of drinking coffee here in Greece.

Our stay at the Chania Hotel was nothing short of extraordinary! The hotel is impeccably clean, beautifully maintained, and perfectly located—everything you could want for a stay in Chania. But what truly set this experience apart was the incredible staff, especially Demos. From start to finish, Demos went above and beyond in every way imaginable—friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. He continuously anticipated our needs and made sure our stay was perfect. His dedication and warmth made us feel like we were staying with family rather than at a hotel. We also had amazing interactions with Nadia from the breakfast team, who was kind and welcoming, and Maximus at the front desk, who was always helpful and professional. If you want a hotel where you feel truly cared for, in a pristine and convenient location, Chania Hotel is it—and Demos makes it unforgettable!
