Found on an 18th-century cocoa plantation with a working mill, Morne Coubaril Historical Adventure Park is less than a 10-minute drive away and includes zip lining and estate tours. While the resort fully embraces the surrounding nature, it’s also well situated for exploring the local towns and cities. The small town of Soufriere is a 15-minute drive away, with cafes and restaurants giving a glimpse into local life.
Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort has 96 guest rooms, each containing features such as air-conditioning, premium bedding, a four-poster bed, flat-screen TV, coffee/tea makers, DVD player, minibars and complimentary toiletries. Each room also boasts en suite facilities and access to a private patio. The accommodation is luxuriously decorated with neutral colours and high-end furnishings, with feature furniture, framed images and colourful pillows drawing the eye. The Luxury Sugar Mill Room, Luxury Cottage and Luxury Beachfront Bungalow have a private plunge pool in their patio, while the larger one and four-bedroom residences come complete with their own infinity pool.
Food and Drink
Three restaurants can be found on-site, offering up gourmet dishes in chic, stylish and romantic settings. The Great Room restaurant boasts Caribbean-influenced meals and personalised tasting menus on the menu. Guests can soak up the air-conditioned elegance of the restaurant, or head outside onto the porch for candlelit tables overlooking the ocean. Breakfast and dinner is served up in The Terrace. Breakfast options include traditional Creole plates, Continental favourites and American delicacies, while there’s also a smoothie bar available. Finally, the Bayside restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, and can be found on decking just metres away from the ocean. Tuck into grilled catch of the day, pizzas and sandwiches while you top up on your tan. Elsewhere, the restaurant has three indoor and outdoor bars, offering a colourful menu of cocktails, rum, and even a traditional English afternoon tea.

Individual spa treatment rooms are housed within wooden treehouses, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy a massage, body polish or manicure whilst surrounded by nature. Meanwhile, a large outdoor swimming pool, flanked by sun loungers and umbrellas, sits just a stone’s throw away from the ocean.
