We have stayed here twice.  Once off-season in January which was lovely and quiet and just what we wanted,  the second time was September and a busy summer time.   We liked the hotel very much.  Reception staff were friendly and obliging and willing to help with any issues.  We chose bed and breakfast, and the breakfast buffet was excellent catering for all tastes. The rooms were very comfortable, though they are doing a major refurbishment (in 24/25/26) so they can vary somewhat.  Choose a west or south pool view if you can - with a balcony or terrace.  The pools and grounds are immaculate all through the day and are well serviced.  If you are a drinker, end of the afternoon can be fun as they have a 2 for 1 hour at the terrace bars.  Whatever you order they give you double! Beware, you might not be capable of dinner if you have too much 🤣

We had contacted the hotel Sol dan Pedro via email 1.5 months before our arrival and made our requests, and we received a response that they would do everything they could to ensure we had a good time because this trip was a birthday present for our son, who had just turned 4, and our booking was for 2 adults and 1 child.
On the first day, it was almost midnight and we were tired when we entered this hotel. The receptionist (DAVID) said that the room was only reserved for 2 adults, not for 2 adults and 1 child.
We had been waiting for 30 minutes like this for the first time.
We thought that after this time, our room had been delivered correctly. When we entered the room at 12:30 pm, we were faced with bad scenes: a dirty bathroom, a dirty toilet, a small and dirty room with only 1 double bed. We called the reception again. After 30 minutes, a guard brought us an extra bed because there was no space left in the room. The air conditioning did not work and the room was very hot. We did not sleep on the bad beds until the morning due to back pain.
Until the next day, after breakfast, we wanted to complain to the hotel manager.
They introduced us to a woman named Annie, who was responsible for the hotel's quality. When I showed her the pictures of the room,she be sad and told me to sit down so she could talk to her manager.
After 10 minutes, she came back and took me to the next hotel, which was called Sol dan Pablo.
We are really grateful to her for making us forget a little about the incident the night before our arrival, because the hotel had just been renovated and we were given a suite with a full refrigerator and champagne and chocolates as an apology.
With all this brief explanation,we do not recommend the SAN DAN PEDRO Hotel to you,according to ANNIE, this hotel will be renovated in a year.

Lovely resort style hotel near the beach.  Great breakfast buffet.  Unfortunately can be loud at night when you are trying to sleep, noise from the adjacent house bars, rude guests who practically yell as they walk down the hotel room corridors at 11pm and blare their TV's until midnight.  The room was too hot at night and it was November so the AC was shut down.  Door to our room 2023  consistently did not lock unless you twisted the door in the frame with considerable force.  Maid service was excellent.

Either I was unlucky or this is the worst Sol by Melia hotel !!!. On the first night we were invaded by bedbugs...!! The pictures says it all !! The nice staff, I have nothing to complain about.. they changed our room immediately, with apologies and the obligatory champagne..!! Hotel located on the seafront, with many pools .. but it was never the same.., every spot on the bed or parquet.. looked like a cockroach !!! The deluxe sol room I had taken had bedbugs, and the new one I was assigned... already had no sun.. !!! I don't even know if I would recommend this hotel..!! It's ok... staff eager to help,..cleanliness..(..despite the first night), good breakfast..in two restaurants, pools at your discretion, child friend and adults only...The surprise comes now !!.. on the last day I had a flood from the room above !!! But bedbugs....seriously Sol by Melia !!?? Google probably won't post this message.., but I'll leave pictures as proof

I stayed here with my eight year old daughter at the end of May. We usually book the Don Pablo but was closed due to ongoing building work. This was our second stay at the Don Pedro, the first one was during new year in 2024/25.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. I hope the management recognises that their staff are the best asset of this hotel, from the bar staff, to the cleaners, security, reception and restaurant staff. They all work incredibly hard to make this hotel welcoming and function efficiently.

The hotel is very clean and rooms were tidied every day. The Sol rooms are looking a bit dated now, but we were comfortable.

The swimming pools were well maintained, although there are still some loose floor tiles in the indoor pool which have not been repaired since I visited in December.

There was a decent choice of food in the restaurant although scope to vary the menu and have more Spanish items - the Don Pablo will have more choice once it's open.The bar is comfortable and relaxing with a wide choice of drinks, but would benefit from more staff during peak hours.

One recommendation I would make is to ban smoking around the outdoor pools. It's not pleasant breathing in other people's smoke, particularly with young children.

The other recommendation is to have drinks available in the restaurant which customers can help themselves. I don't understand why there is a waiter service for those who simply want water for example.

Overall this was a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend it.
