This hotel is phenomenal! We came here for my hen do as a group of 10 women and never felt safer or more comfortable. The rooms are immaculate, come with a mini fridge, tv, hairdryer ext. the staff are so friendly and lovely, I was slightly apprehensive about coming to Tunisia but we had the most amazing time and would definitely come back. The food selection is great, we also visited the a’la carte restaurant and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The entertainment team are brilliant, so friendly and great at keeping the vibes going all day and night. The pool areas are great, we never struggled to get a great sun bed spot (even as a party of 10), super clean and very well maintained. The all inclusive is great, great snack selection during the day, drinks are good. I can’t fault anything from this resort, it’s one of the best resorts I’ve been too. Definitely 4* quality for a 3* price.

Don't know what all the fuss is about. Alcohol not great. Cheap n nasty but had to pay for better which wasn't cheap. Activities ok if you like butlins.  Rooms basic but OK.. our smelt of drains every day..night club meant fir adults but teenagers very drunk eveytime. Food awful..outside catering which was reheated. Snack bar served us raw chicken. Told hotel. No apology and they removed our post from the group chat.
Was it worth the money yes as the temperature was amazing. Activity staff pick, the Michael Jackson dancer tried it on with our daughter..his boss was made aware however he kept his job..

Would go tunisia again but maybe hilton as not much more than this Skegness hotel

We stayed at this hotel as a group of 12, including children, and unfortunately our overall impression is quite negative.

The rooms were generally okay – small and definitely dated, but clean enough that we can’t really complain too much. The carpets in the hallways, however, are a different story. They are extremely old and dirty, not because of poor housekeeping, but simply because they haven’t been replaced in years. The lobby is one of the weakest we’ve ever seen in a hotel – just a few old armchairs by the reception.

Drinks are mostly served in plastic cups rinsed under running water, which feels unhygienic. The bar by the upper pool was a complete disaster. My wife personally witnessed ice that had spilled onto the ground being picked up and put back into the cooler to be used for drinks. Bartenders clearly expect tips before making a proper drink, and ice is treated like gold.

Food in the main dining hall was actually quite good, and the staff there was excellent – very friendly, smiling, and especially kind to our children, who felt very comfortable. On the other hand, the à la carte restaurant was a complete joke – neither a proper restaurant nor a real à la carte experience. To make matters worse, in one of the desserts our child found a piece of plastic wrapping, which is simply unacceptable.

The pools were nice and varied, with something for everyone. The so-called “aquapark” is really just a few small slides suitable for younger kids – which was fine for us, but definitely not what you’d expect from an actual waterpark. The sun umbrellas by the pools are ancient and borderline dangerous, held together with sticks, strings, or whatever can keep them from collapsing.

As for the bars – expect a drink with a splash of alcohol and a tiny bit of ice, unless you’re ready to tip generously. Honestly, if you enjoy a proper drink, it might be better to bring your own alcohol.

We also decided to visit the hotel’s 18+ night club one evening, but left shortly after arriving. To our shock, we saw security letting in not only teenagers but even children. This is completely unacceptable for a place that is supposed to be adults-only and raises serious concerns about how the hotel is managed.

One of the real highlights, however, was the beach – large, clean, and really pleasant.

To sum it up: this hotel has clearly seen better days. It does have its strengths – mainly the main restaurant staff and the beach – but too many aspects feel neglected or poorly managed. Some employees truly do their best, but others (maybe due to pressure from management) create a very disappointing experience.

Review of Sahara Beach Hotel – Overhyped Experience

Booking:
We booked through Booking.com. We had some issues with the payment card, but the manager (if I recall correctly, his name was Mohamed Milad) was very cooperative, confirmed the booking, and allowed us to pay on arrival – much appreciated. However, they forced us to pay the tax in euros and at the European rate, even though we are from Algeria.

Reception:
It was decent, but the lobby looked old, more like a non-rated hotel, with outdated tiles.

Rooms:
Quite nice, but since it’s a 3-star hotel, the room was small. No minibar or hair dryer – you have to rent them. No toilet hose either, so bring your own jug. The cleaning lady kept asking us every day whether we wanted the room cleaned, even though it’s her job – at one point she said, “Didn’t I clean it yesterday?” Also, bathroom amenities, coffee, and other supplies were never replenished (possibly the staff take them).

Food:
Mediocre to average. Considering the price, I would say very poor. Same food every day, very little variety compared to Royal Kenz or Delfino Beach (where we stayed the past two years), and quality much lower. The processed cheese was of very poor quality, not even real cheese. Salads had almost no variety, and most dishes were just labeled “Tunisian specialty.” Very little seafood. One day they served fondant, but it turned out to be dry madeleines. Even foreign guests on Google complain about the food being repetitive. The cocktails were nonsense, and the good ones were at extra charge. Overall, the food does not justify either the price or the reputation of the hotel.

Discrimination:
Yes, there is some discrimination between Arab and foreign tourists. Not all staff – some were very polite and respectful – but sometimes you notice clear differences in treatment.
The worst experience was with the à la carte restaurant, which was supposed to be included in our stay. When I tried to book, the staff asked how long I was staying. When I said 4 nights, they told me it was only for guests staying over a week. I pointed out that their website clearly says “once per stay, reservation 24h before.” They admitted it but insisted the demand was too high and it would take 3–4 days to get a table. I mentioned the restaurant was always empty, but they stuck to “that’s the rule.” I even sent them a long email but got no response. The next day, I went to the guest relations desk, and they told me the restaurant was only available for guests booking through agencies like TUI, EasyJet, or local travel agencies. Since we booked via Booking.com, we couldn’t access it. Basically, they have no issue lying straight to your face.

Pools & Beach:
The best part of the hotel. The pools were all excellent, including the aquapark. The beach was nice but had a lot of seaweed.

Animation/Entertainment:
Very good, especially on the first day. However, one day the dancers literally performed without clothes, which shocked the Algerian and Tunisian families present. So, if you’re traveling with family, better check the program before attending.

Would I recommend it?
Not at these prices. This was the worst hotel in its price category. It simply doesn’t deserve the rates they charge compared to the quality of services offered.

It was okay, remember its 3 star and you'll be great. Wicked location on the beach. The rooms could do with updating and a fridge and safety are a must these days. The food was probably the worst of all the hotels we've visited around the world but it is 3 star. Great weather, lots to do and see, plenty of activities and the pools were brilliant and cold! Water park needs some updating, maybe a couple more slides but it is what it is!

The rooms were immaculate although the mattresses were extremely firm, the housekeeping staff were brilliant on floor 4 of block one. Loads of choice when it came to food with a buffet style meal set up, only thing I didn't like was all the meat was overcooked for my liking. The hotel has plenty to do, 3 outside pools, one indoors, a gym and a private beach along with a water park with some great slides. We enjoyed it so much we've booked to go back in the future

We visited for 7 days from July 26th 2024 to 2nd august 2024. Honestly we had such an amazing time. The rooms were quite small but to be honest we were only in our rooms to sleep ect anyway. All the staff were so kind and friendly. They were also really understanding of my younger brother who has downsyndrome and they really tried with him and made his day every day. The rooms were cleaned and beds were made daily.

Our shower wasnt the greatest as it was fixed to the wall that was facing the shower curtian so if you werent stood under the shower it was flooding the floor. Some of the bar staff were a bit rude but that didnt stop us having an amazing time.

People in the shops will try and over charge you as there isnt a proce on anything but if you stand your ground they eventually give in to a reasonable price.

The food wasnt the greatest but there was pizza and pasta most days if your fussy and dont like the look of their food.

They expext a lot of tips and will sometimes try and force you into a tip but just stand your ground.

We went as a family of 5 and we had 1 room with a double bed and a single bed then we had a connecting door which took you through to the other hotel room which had 2 single beds in.

Tip-put the do not disturb sign on your door until your up and dressed as the cleaners walk in and 8 oclock unless thats on the door.

You get fresh bathing towels daily.
Air con wasnt the greatest so rooms were quite hot.
