Things To Keep In Mind

This hotel is the best I have ever stayed in. We have just returned two days ago from another great holiday there, and we are booked to return in a few months. The hotel and rooms are spotless and have everything you need in the kitchen area if you want to go self catering.  The pool bar serves lovely food with very friendly staff and the  restaurant serves lovely food as well. The swimming pool, gym, kids club etc., all spotless and well equipped. I have saved the best until last. The staff running this complex are the friendliest, obliging and helpful people I have ever met in a Hotel setting. From management,  catering, domestic and entertainment staff, they are outstanding and go above and beyond to make sure you have a great holiday, so if you want to be quarenteed a great memorable holiday book this Hotel...

My recent stay at Royal Sunset Beach was, unfortunately, far from ideal. We booked a studio room meant for two people, yet we were provided with only one set of towels to share.
This was quite inconvenient and not what you would expect from a hotel in this category.

The bed was another major downside — it squeaked loudly with every movement, and the frame had noticeable gaps, making it uncomfortable and difficult to get a good night's sleep. The constant noise from the springs was truly bothersome.

Another disappointing aspect was how many things came with an additional fee. Pool towels were not included and cost either €2 per day or €8 per week.

Even the coffee at reception had an extra charge: €2 normally, or €1.50 if you brought your own cup. It felt like every small convenience required more money.

One parking, extra 48 euro for a week.

Check-out was scheduled for 10:00 AM, which is quite early compared to most hotels. Asking for a late check-out resulted in surprisingly high extra charges — very far from guest-friendly.

At the pool bar anything that is below 5 euro needs to be paid cash! If you buy a 4 euro coffee you cannot pay by card which is unheard of.

We had the experience of getting some cockroaches due to the fact that there is a big gap between the entrance door and the floor, although our room was on the 1st floor. I don't even want to think what happens on the ground floors.

Unfortunately the AC didn't have a heating option and we were a bit cold during the night, so we didn't have any heating options.

During our 7 days stay, the room was cleaned 2 times and it was done very superficially.

Overall, the experience left me with the impression that nearly everything at this hotel comes at an extra cost, which takes away from the enjoyment of the stay and leaves a bitter aftertaste. Sadly, I cannot say I would choose Royal Sunset Beach again

We have returned from a 9 night stay here which we booked directly with the hotel approx 10 months ago. The positives are the one bedroomed apt was well appointed, the bar & maid service personnel are really friendly. The best asset of the hotel is their pool. It is also well located.

The downside is the constant loud pool music. If you are unlucky enough to get apt no. 202,  you will also have the constant noise from the pool & ping-pong tables and the noise from the other visitors passing your door (far from sound-proofed) on your floor.
The terrace is nice with a partial sea view. We rarely used it due to the lack of privacy as the taxi rank is located directly under the room. There is also loud noise (drilling, kango hammer, etc.) from works taking place across the road from 8am. If this wasn't enough, we were delighted to count the number of vehicles going over the loose manhole covers (day & night)!

We asked to be moved, which they tried to oblige. The only room available was looking onto the side walkway, where a scooter bay is located and on which unfortunate homeless people are living.  We had originally asked for a pool view but this was not available. If we had a pool view room, our feelings regarding the stay may have been different.

All in all, we look forward to NOT returning to this hotel as it negatively affected our stay in this resort. We spent a lot of money on this trip and to say we were disappointed is an understatement.

Great location. Staff were friendly and vert chatty. Entertainment team were great. Rooms look like new or refurbidhed at least. Pool bar food was very good.

Excellent resort. We love it here. Always greeted with a friendly face. Staff are always, smiling , and always happy to help. Service is brilliant, rooms are well equipped and in pristine condition. Sunbeds are topped thick cushions, very comfortable. The pool is well kept and pool attendant is always on hand.  Entertainment for both adults and kids. The pool bar is well equipped with seating area and provides daytime meals, snacks, and drinks. Toilets are spotless. Provisions are provided for recycling and is encouraged.

We really enjoyed it. The rooms were lovely, ( I had asked for a quiet room which was worth doing) great never crowded pool, pool bar. Very close to good beach and shops. We joined in the Entertainment offered when we weren't out doing things. Most of the staff were really obliging and my requests were met so quickly by Nestor on Reception
Special shout out to him and Racquel in Entertainment( excuse spelling) who are outstanding. Whatever you're paying them ; double it!
