The staff where very friendly and supportive. The hotel public areas where clean and well maintained.
The only negatives go to the food as it wasn't varied enough especially if your there are more than 3 days, but it was good quality. Also there was daily room service but they never really clean the bathroom very well as we ended up cleaning the toilet. Fix these issues and would have been 5 stars.

Just wanted to add there are queues at certain times of the day but they move quickly.

⭐ 1/5 – Definitely not 4-star; more like 2-star
I am extremely disappointed with this hotel — it is massively overrated and nowhere near a 4-star standard. It would be more accurately rated as a 2-star property at best.

Staff & Service: The staff are unfriendly, unhelpful, and often come across as rude. There is no warmth or willingness to assist guests, which makes the whole stay feel unwelcoming.

Food: The food quality is very poor. It lacks variety, freshness, and taste — certainly not what you expect from a hotel claiming this rating.

Room Facilities: A basic fridge or freezer is not provided in the room, which is a major inconvenience, especially for longer stays or keeping drinks and food cool.

Overall: This hotel is overpriced and does not deliver on its promises. It feels outdated, under-maintained, and falls far short of the comfort and service expected. I would not recommend it and will not be returning.

Would you like me to make it shorter, or adjust the tone to be more formal or more direct?

Im currently waiting in a massive que just to get dinner. Check my other reviews very rare i post negative but this is the worst hotel we've stayed in. Other than location to theme park this place his nothing to offer. Staff are not interested and you wait far to long for everything. Rooms are as basic as can be, I didn’t do the usual show of the room pics as they were no point. You buy a cup and have to use it the rest of the time your there. Even tho you have a band you need to take your room card EVERYWHERE. I dont complain about food on all inclusive as you can usually find something but this place the food is like the kids snack bar you get at better resorts. Wouldn't be back. Currently here and cant wait to leave. Gave an extra star for the boy micheal that served the drinks at the buffet and the girl Carmen. Very few staff who actually seemed to care. Picture is the que for dinner at 22:40

Lovely hotel staff are super friendly and very welcoming. Definitely an ideal place to come with family. Just a small stroll to the park. Plenty of things to do for parents and kids. Pool is lovely and not to cold either when you get in. It’s also not that far to the main part of Salou by the beach. Drinks and food are not bad in the hotel. Beds are super comfy. There is a bit of noticeable wear and tear but not surprising due to the amount of people coming and going from the place. Rooms might be a bit dated but overall the rooms are super clean and well kept. Definitely would recommend

We stayed at Hotel El Paso for four nights as a family of four (two adults and two children), booking directly through PortAventura Hotels and paying around €1,400 for half board. During our stay we met another English family who had paid €1,700 for seven nights all-inclusive, which really put the price we paid into perspective. Sadly, this hotel offers very poor value for money.

We stayed in Block 5003, and from the moment you entered the building there was a strong damp, mouldy smell. The smell in our room was even worse. We reported it on the second day and were told someone had checked the room, but nothing was done and the smell remained throughout our stay.

The air conditioning barely worked. Even on the coldest setting, the room was unbearably hot, which made sleeping uncomfortable, especially with two young children. The rooms are clearly very dated and in desperate need of refurbishment.

There were also several maintenance issues. The shower head broke during our stay, and the safety rail on the top bunk bed was broken, which is unacceptable in a hotel aimed at families.

The service was equally disappointing. The food was mediocre, and staff generally seemed uninterested. The worst experience was in the gift shop. As we were checking out, my daughter wanted to buy a present for her friend. The member of staff, Cristina, was extremely rude and repeatedly said, “Me no speak English,” while making no effort whatsoever to help or explain why I couldn’t enter the shop. I completely understand that not everyone speaks English, but in an international four-star hotel, I do expect customer-facing staff to be courteous and able to communicate with guests.

Another frustration was that nobody explained the reusable cup system or the points loaded onto the room card. We only found out because other guests took the time to explain it to us.

The only real positive is that park tickets are included with your stay. Unfortunately, they don’t make up for the poor condition of the hotel, the lack of customer service, and the overall disappointing experience. We won’t be returning, and based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend Hotel El Paso to anyone expecting a genuine four-star hotel.

An invitation to experience a typical colonial-style Mexican Hacienda where strict attention has been paid to settings and detail. Its rooms are distributed over 6 buildings around a central area with spectacular gardens and irresistible crystalline water swimming pools, one of which features a sunken galleon where the kids will have hours of fun.
This hotel, located at the gates of PortAventura Parks, has unlimited access to PortAventura Park throughout the stay and 1-day access to Ferrari Land included per stay and person (according to parks opening dates and times). Also offers preferential booking for table service restaurants in the parks via the hotel's Guest Service Desk and Pick-Up service at PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land shops.
PortAventura Parks main entrance is just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. It has its own train station and it is just 20 minutes' drive from the high-speed train station, 3.5 km from the A-7 motorway and 10 minutes' drive from Reus airport. The all-inclusive rate offers lunch and dinner menus in the hotel's Mexican restaurant or in PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land, applicable to designated food outlets and subject to opening hours.
