Things To Keep In Mind

I spent a wonderful week here in November with my daughter. The weather was warm and sunny - a great winter tonic. Everything was spotlessly clean and our maid service was faultless.
The pool area was very tasteful - surrounded by herbs and greenery, palms and olive trees.
The main hotel was beautifully decorated with authentic antique furniture and rustic items.

We have returned from a 2 week stay here (family of 4, 2 adults/2 young children) and what a wonderful experience it was. Great location, the rooms were immaculate and the staff went above and beyond from the lifeguard to the waiting staff. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at Petousis Hotel & Suites in Heraklion, Crete for a week and had a very pleasant experience. The highlight of the stay was definitely the staff — they were incredibly kind and attentive. Every time I left the table to get a new plate, my old one was already cleared by the time I got back. The service was fast, and the overall atmosphere felt warm and welcoming.

The hotel maintains a high standard of cleanliness. The room was generally clean, though there were a few minor spots that could’ve been better, but nothing that bothered me. Housekeeping cleaned daily, and breakfast had small variations each day, which kept things interesting without straying from comfort food.

The location is great if you’re planning a relaxing beach holiday — the beach is just a 4-minute walk away, and there’s a nearby market where you can grab snacks or fruit easily. There’s even a cinema close by, which was a nice bonus!

The pool area was enjoyable too. The adult pool is 1.40m deep, and there’s a jacuzzi that I absolutely loved. One small downside was the bathroom window — it’s a bit tricky to open unless you’re tall. A longer handle or an adjustment would be helpful.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend Petousis Hotel & Suites for a chill beach vacation — great for tanning, lounging, and short walks. If you’re someone who wants to explore the island a lot or stay centrally located, you might want to consider a different spot. But for beach vibes and relaxation, this place is perfect.

Another bonus is the fact that they sometimes perform on the stage by the bar outside, it’s sooo nice to sit outside on the sunbeds whilst they’re singing or playing the saxophone.

I would recommend this hotel ,I was there for 10 days with my son and i can say we did enjoy everymoment there,very friendly Staff ,nice food ,clean rooms and a nice location.Thank you very much we will come back a gain next time.Mr Dimakis such a very friendly Manager to everyone .

This is a review for a 7 night stay in one of the Superior rooms located away from the main body of the hotel at the beginning of June.  Reception is 24hr manned.
We had looked at the hotel using Google to get an idea of where we were staying and the local facilities however the satellite images are out of date and the hotel is now significantly bigger with more rooms (99 in total) and a bigger pool, so don’t trust everything you see on google.  It’s clear from our visit that there has been a lot of investment in the hotel which has paid off.

We spent most of our stay next to the pool and didn’t venture far away from the hotel as all we wanted to do was chill.  That was definitely achieved, the atmosphere here was perfect for that.  Despite having many guests, the hotel was still quiet and relaxed.  The children that were there were all well behaved and we hardly noticed them.

Top of our list though was how friendly all the staff were, nothing too difficult for them and they really welcomed you there.  We got to know most of them by name and though I won’t use their names in this review, I’d like to thank them all for a wonderful holiday.

Local shops are good for holiday gifts but also the stuff you forget to bring. Bottled water is really cheap, €1.60 for 8 x 1ltr bottles.

The pool never gets busy, plenty of sun loungers and towels are free.  The lifeguard looks after the towels for you and the pool barman, a fine gent, will keep you refreshed with cocktails and beer.

We will be going back next year which is a testament to how much we enjoyed the hotels hospitality.

We have just left the Petousis, and at first I was a little nervous as my wife booked here and it wasn’t our normal 5 star…..but that’s where it stopped!
I would highly recommend this hotel, and would definitely return. The grounds are well kept and the staff are perfect,…always polite, always attentive and always helpful. Special thanks to reception, the pool life guard and Katerina in the bar,….always happy and chatty.
Rooms are well kept and cleaning staff always seemed happy.
The hotel is attached to what seems an island favourite restaurant, and honestly, the food was perfect. We dined here a few nights and were not disappointed. There is a sushi restaurant around 8 min walk called Hanzo which was also amazing.
There was always a sunbed or 3 free at anytime of the day…..we went to breakfast around 9.30am and went out to find lots of sunbeds free………so no rush at all!

We had a relaxing and cosy holiday in a peaceful location just a 4-minute walk from Heaven Beach and to the city centre was easy too - just a 25-minute bus ride away.

Big thank you to the housekeeping team, especially the kind lady who looked after our room on the first floor. Her warm morning greetings made us feel truly welcome. My sister stayed on the second floor and noticed that while her room was cleaned (judging by the scent of bleach), the beach pebbles weren’t swept up during the last couple of nights. A small detail, but worth noting.

Overall, a relaxing and pleasant stay with a few minor housekeeping inconsistencies. Would definitely return for the location and the sun soaking vibe!

Horrible experience, booked this back in April. It’s October now. Just landed in Crete and drove over to the hotel to check in. The lady said she couldn’t find our reservation. Took our passports showed her the multiple emails we had. She brought the manager over saying how our reservation was canceled. We never received a cancelation email. And we tried explaining how we came to Crete just to stay at this hotel and we booked it in April. All she said was well there is one room but even then it’s not the swim up bar we had requested. No sympathy nothing. Then as we left we found out she kept our passports in the office and when we came back she said we forgot them, when she took them and never came back with them. Just felt like it could have been handled better and the fact that she said the names didn’t match when my card and reservation were under the same name didn’t make any sense. Bad hospitality and customer service skills

The best hotel I could’ve picked, the rooms are beautiful. A very lovely man checked us in in the evening and was so polite, there was a lady the next morning on the desk that was a little rude but it didn’t dampen our stay and was amazing for the location too! Lots to do around! Highly recommend the restaurant attached and the local beach clubs if your staying here.
