About Hotel Omega
Omega Hotel is a quiet 3-star hotel in Amsterdam-Zuid. The red brick building was built in 1900 but was renovated in 2002 and is now just as stylish as its surroundings. The complex itself is home to a spacious garden, a small haven in this urban jungle, where guests are permitted to smoke. We recommend seeing some of Amsterdam’s iconic museums, and renting bicycles or scooters so reach points of interest and explore the Dutch countryside, laden with windmills, cheese tasting opportunities, and clog demonstrations. From bike rentals, to advice on the most worthwhile tourist attractions, the staff at Omega Hotel will help make your trip to ‘Dam as memorable as possible.
Omega Hotel is just a 6-minute drive from Amsterdam-Schiphol Airport, or a 30-minute drive from Rotterdam Airport. Set in close proximity to renowned shopping streets such as Van Baerlestraat, and Albert Cuyp, a trendy daily market, Omega Hotel is a great spot to get right into Amsterdam life. A 5-minute walk from the Museumplein, home to the Van Gogh Museum, and the Royal Concert Hall, Hotel Omega is also the largest public park in Amsterdam, Vondelpark. Take a stroll, enjoy the architecture and landscaping, and come out the other side to a plaza of bars, restaurants, and clubs.
Omega Hotel has 32 simple and neatly decorated rooms. The resort is set across four floors, and all rooms are completed with a fridge and private bathrooms. The facilities are modern and useful and include a TV, phoneline, and desk, and air con rooms are available if requested. Available for booking are single, double, triple, or quad rooms. Although just a small complex, Omega Hotel is ideal for groups of friends and provides easy living spaces for socialising, but also provides family comforts like cots if necessary. Omega Hotel is handicapped accessible.
Food and Drink
Omega Hotel offers a reasonable breakfast buffet of continental style pastries and juices, free for guests. Special dietary requirements can be catered for upon request. Omega Hotel is surrounded by trendy eateries and upmarket restaurants serving a range of international and European food, and charming bakeries offer a selection of sweet and savoury. Sit outside, weather permitting, and people-watch in this sophisticated part of town. Amsterdam’s famous cafes are easy to get to and easier to stay in. Supermarkets are dotted around town and will stock plenty of snacks and drinks; sample one of Holland’s most popular beverages Amstel Beer, which gets its name from the river that runs through the city.
Sports, Games and Entertainment
Omega Hotel Amsterdam is an ideal base to explore Amsterdam’s most prolific museums, and muse over the artistic vibe that runs in the veins of this area. Shopaholics have plenty to see with three major streets within a mile of Omega Hotel and all customers can appreciate the window displays. Don’t forget to spot the street art as well as the natural landscapes and, as you walk along the River, try to catch one of the canal races. Omega Hotel offers massages at the complex, perfect after a day of walking or cycling. Spend a day picnicking in Vondelpark or head straight to Leidseplein for vibrant and ambient nightlife.
